Kids have that power.
Lately I've been doing the "going out" thing with friends & co-workers...going to bars, hanging out, watching movies, drinking, all the stuff "I missed out on" having been in a committed relationship for nearly 20 years.
And NONE of that brings me as much simple happiness as, for example, sitting on the beach with my kids on a sunny afternoon watching them skip rocks or fight over whose shell is nicer.
