Cher's son Chaz is going to be a contestant on Dancing With the Stars this fall, and because America is full of repressed weirdos, there are some rednecks up in arms about it.

He probably has a slow as hell metabolism. I eat like a fat pig, but I am always underweight my entire life because my metabolism is so fast. I must eat over 3,000 calories a day and I wake up starving every day of my life. CHaz would probably gain weight from eating 1,000 calories a day.

Actually...the T he's taking should help in that regard.

Maybe it's a good thing he'll be on this show. Look at all the weight Kirstie Alley lost.

Without the controversy what would be the point of seeing Chaz on DWTS, he's Cher's son. If it weren't for the sex change and the perceived taboo of such things, who'd care? That's the point isn't it? Otherwise he'd be some celebrity's fat kid on DWTS? Of course that's her kid so I wouldn't expect her not to have fangs and claws drawn, so I guess it should be interesting to see how this plays out.

After watching the documentary "Becoming Chaz" (a pretty astonishingly honest piece).....I think Chaz is a VERY cool dude.

I think Chaz still has a vagina. Last I heard he was not keen on the outcome of genital surgery for most folks. They end up with a big old mess.

Do they still have that show that was titled "Dance your ass off" something like that? That seems more appropriate.

But I don't understand how Chaz Bono IS a "Star". What do he do to become famous? Did he do something prior to the surgery that I'm unaware of? I was always under the impression that the only reason we knew about this person is because she, now he, was Sonny and Cher's child.

So with that in mind, why is he on the show if not to drum up controversy, support, intereste, etc., all of which lead to ratings? Its kind of gross, honestly.
