I wonder if everyone gets the same movie frame?

Most probably...I seem to remember getting one for something else a few years back and all of my friends had exactly the same....Luke staring out at the twin suns.

It implies that theyve taken a copy of the reel of film and chopped that one reel up and distributed each cell....they havent, theyve copied one cell over and over again. Im guessing yours is the Obi Wan/Anakin sabre fight?

I had to cancel mine and im gutted...but I really dont want to have to witness that crappy altered scene in Jedi with the " Nooo...Noooooo"

Yeah that's the scene I have and looking at the back cover I see it is the same scene on the little contents picture.

The bluray quality is quite amazing and I've even switched it over to 3D on my TV and it actually does add some depth to the picture.

This will be the last time I buy any of them but I have never owned any of the films on any other format than VHS.

The extra's are worth the price tag alone.

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Utterly unnecessary and obvious, but it could have been worse, like George using footage of Padme, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, as if Vader was thinking "you Palpatine you! you stole my love and friends from me but you won't kill my son!!!"

disbelief

if only George produced what we all want: a high-budget SW tv series about Luke's Jedi Academy starring Mark Hammill... if only sigh

when hell freezes over...

nod

The actors in RL are at the right age for the characters in the books.

Can you imagine a Star Wars mini-series on TV involving the Yuuzhan Vong invasion?

drool

I've been drool for almost 20 years now at the thought of a live action SW tv series. That shit would be so cool!

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

i wouldnt say it sucks, but it's not as good as empire or jedi. for one thing, lucas cant direct actors. that's why everyone is so wooden in the 4 he directed and not in the 2 he didnt. storywise, i also like empire and jedi much more

Fuck is wrong with you two?

A New Hope is awesome, Empire Strikes Back is even better, and every other Star Wars movie after that sucks to varying degrees.

Period.

Co-sign. "Return of the Care Bears" is where Lucas lost it.

come on now the Boba Fett cartoon was cool. Maude singing... not so much. (and it was NOT christmas it was 'life day' they celebrated and the show was just called "Star Wars Hoiday Special"

and was one of three made for TV movies not including several 'making of' or retrospectives the other 2 were ewok made for tv movies. (and a short lived droids cartoon series but that might have been direct to video)

yeah i know. i did not mean to imply any different. other than that boba fett cartoon

and the making offs were mostly cool. as were the retrospectives.

but yeah even at age 8 the Holiday special was mosrly bad... as were the 2 ewok movies... caravan of courage and ewok adventures???

When Lucasfilm hunts down and destroys every last copy like Sidious and Vader hunt down Jedi, you know they're bad.

Ok I'll admit it...I caved and bought it - feel quite disappointed really. Aside from the films you can't fault the AMOUNT of extras but I'd prefer to see trailers, deleted scenes (previously released on other DVD versions) than some wobbly 360° video of costumes and yoda replicas.

So it's not the ultimate collection at all as ut misses some if the good stuff from other releases and includes stuff that should have been left off...and there in lies the truth we all knew...it's not designed as the ultimate package - it's designed to just provide enough for you to buy again abd leaves the door open for future rehashes

Yeah there are deleted scenes...nothing new from the prequels, just a couple from the ones that have already been released on previous DVDs; that's what I meant - I dont know why he's picked some of them from previous releases and nori flyers the rest. From the original trilogy there is nothing that hasn't been seen before from New Hope (and 2 REALLY pointless 3 second reefer scenes) Empire has the most (4 I think)including a narrowly escaped potentially illegal moment between Lke and Leia and Jedi has 2. There's plenty of stuff I haven't seen before in the way of discussions about costumes but I was suprised that some of the most obvious stuff was missing.

I'm undecided as to whether it's a good thing that this can't replace the DVDS because it doesn't gave all the previously released stuff like trailers and ALL deleted scenes

I just watched 13 deleted scenes over @ buzzfeed and really the only one interesting was the "blow up endor" command by the Emperor.

And that aint on the bluray...unless I've missed something.

There was also meant to be 1 where Vader uses the force on 2 imperial guards...not seen that either.

There's certainly an element of "ah...that'll do" with the special features like the 360° costume/prop videos - fairly rubbish idea anyway but they rotated on a REALLY wobbly turntable

^Really? cause that is the one getting all the buzz. George why even bother.

I really wish if he continues to mess with the films that he would take a page from peter jackson and actually insert the scenes into the films. That would work much better to the avid fan.

Yeah, man!

When you're in the Special Features page for each film (you know, the one where two planets are listed), you can also hit your left and right arrow keys to get more planets, and hence, more deleted scenes.

Enjoy! biggrin

They're absoloutely fantastic (apart from some of the prequel 'deleted' scenes). I'm not a geek but some of the mini docs about props, planets etc are great. As I say I'm still only on disc 1 of 3 and not really watched everything....still got a disc of original trilogy AND a disc of full docs
