Thanks Tinaz and uPtoWnNY for the gentle push smile

I did run tonight and did 6k even though I could feel a slight pull in the back of my right thigh.

yeahthat falloff falloff falloff

This is the thing,

I can see some guy designing it but that is it. I can't see even his supervisor thinking it was a good idea.

But then it needed the approval of Disney before being manufactued. eek

Then it was advertised and some store or whatever actually chose it, above the other choices to have in their store and did not see anything weird there eek or did they lol ?

Is it like that Tinky character were I think the creators were seeing just how far they could go before someone yelled "Please, Grrrrllllll, you need to stop with that teletubby now".

And what does this have to do with fitness. Nothing! It is raining here so again I may wimp out. However rain and hurricane are not the same thing. I really can see just how much I coddle myself since I have been posting here.

Excellent. Did you check out the link I posted on the first page? It's amazing stuff.

I'll be on my way to the gym in about an hour. Today is lower body power Tuesday.

One of my favorite ways to workout dancing jig

Do you have any tapes that you do at home? Any that you can recomend? I like the moves a lot!

Ohh! I'm glad you brought up Zumba Veronikka! I really really really want to do Zumba! I have a friend who got into it and has become an instructor but she's like 40 minutes from me and I just can not swing it into my schedule. I am contemplating buying the DVDs..but you said they are boring? I need to learn the moves though....

ugh...I got to do something....the weight is creeping on slowly and I must do something about it now!

Missed your post before, I didn't stretch much before, but I did afterwards.

I'll remember to put more effort in of the pre-run stretching from now on.

I did check it out but I am not really one for weights, other than some light dumbbells. Also I don't belong to a gym so don't really have access to the right equipment.

I have a treadmill and a elliptic at home, as well as a gym ball, some dumbbells plus some exercise dvds so whatever exercise I do is based on these. The only time I go to a gym is when they are giving out the free 3 days passes to get people to join.

I have been working out regularly for the past couple months again. Not pushing myself too hard, but being very regular about it.

I am definitely noticing the difference in my body, and I start to think I am looking good but then....I took a picture of myself with my shirt off and saw the sad truth shake

I'm addicted to zumba but that is mostly because I have a great instructor! biggrin and yes those dvds are boring compared to taking an actual zumba class. Look for videos on youtube, make a playlist that is an hour long if you cant get to a class dancing jig

Awesome! I was only ever able to get a little over 3 miles in 45 minutes sigh now Im not sure how to keep running, our days are getting shorter so I can't run after work like I used to, too dark and I cant run on a treadmill, I lose my balance real easily sad I just went back to the elliptical for now.

Is there no way for you to run during your lunchtime or before work? Seems a shame to give up although at least you are still doing something.

I just finished a 5k walk tonight, I had a boozy lunch and didn't feel up to running tonight. Will get back to it tomorrow.

I'm boring, I stationary bike it almost everyday or whatever to get my 630 mins. a week, I'm trying to figure out how to make it to 840 min/wk, it ain't happen anytime soon. I like it cause it's available to me safely anytime no matter what disrupts my schedule, I don't need any special wear or equipment, just ride and sweat, watch a movie or listen to music/news/book. Now if someone could explain to me these wild 7-9 lb shifts on the scale I'd be at peace about it.

I would have thought the sodium, except the other day I ate a bunch of salted peanuts which is completely out of the norm for me and ended up 8lbs lighter from the time before confuse I just knew it would be the opposite. I'm blaming it on the hormones, even though my mood is mellow.

NOTE TO SELF:

Going to the gym after only having had a California roll for lunch does NOT make for a good workout.

Don't be afraid to push yourself. You want to maximize your workouts. You'd be amazed what the body can do when you put your mind to it.

Yeah that was stupid of me.

I had a breakfast wrap from Subway in the AM yesterday, but for lunch I didn't have much of an appetite so all I had was a California roll from the sushi place @ the mall.

I hit the gym right after work (gotta get back into the groove & all) and as soon as I stepped off the treadmill for the 15min cardio warmup, I was positively FAMISHED.

I did 4 sets of pullups/dips/pushups and couldn't get a 5th set from how weak I felt. I grabbed some water and did overhead rows on the machine ...I was physically trembling. Probably had low blood sugar or something. That was the end of THAT.

Gonna start over today, with sufficient nourishment this time! doh! dunce
