would you clean that tank all by yourself ?
A lot of times really big tanks need less cleaning because you can run huge undertank filtering systems on them where the water is actually cycled in and out of the tank (so all you have to do is clean the filter parts). My 100 gallon only requires one day of work every few months beyond the regular minor upkeep. I certainly wouldn't mind, like, using a long scrub brush on the inside of the glass. I actually find that type of stuff pretty relaxing.
But really, if you could afford THAT TANK I'm pretty sure you could pay an aquarium cleaning service to come do it for you. They'd probably keep the salinity and alkalinity correct for you as well.
Edit: stupid extra letter

Cerebus wants the bed tank, only freshwater (because Cerebus doesn't really love salt water tanks). And maybe even deeper, like, four or five feet.
I know she probably just came back from a workout or yoga or some shit but why isn't her bed properly made and laundry stacked on the bench?
Also, why does Cerebus want this kind of headboard? Is he a mafioso?? |

Cerebus does not care about the "headboard", only the fish tank. Cerebus would love to sleep IN a fish tank if it was possible.
Also, Cerebus is very disappointed that johnart did not notice and comment on the can of air freshener on the left side of the picture. |

My preference would be for a bit more width (shut up, not like that), but it is sharp looking and does work well in that space.
Similar design in a dentist office...

johnart feels that the humonfuckingus tank being part of the "headboard" (hence quotation marks) is a given. That shit is straight up MTV Cribs gavone-ish.
johnart too is disappointed in himself at having missed the can of air freshener. |

It is beautiful, though I do kind of feel semi-bad for the fishies swimming in such narrow space.
It is my understanding that fish enjoy girth. |

Cerebus is pretty sure they headboard was just made to fit in that space. It certainly has nothing to do with the structural integrity of a tank that large. Cerebus is pretty sure it could be a wall, bookshelves, a painting, even a window, if that's what the owner wanted.
Cerebus is really disappointed that he doesn't know what "MTV Cribs gavone-ish" means, though. |

Actually, most fish need length for good health. They need to be able to move over a long open space in order to use all their wee fish muscles. Some of them also prefer using their gills that way.
But really, as far as captive pets go, fish are pretty much cool so long as their water is right and you feed them occasionally. Being removed from the food chain isn't really hurting their chances of survival all that much.

Cerebus is stuck on what makes a headboard "structurally" versus conceptually (design).
"MTV Cribs gavone-ish" means that out-of-control shit belongs in the home of a nouveau-riche EYE-talian cast member of Jersey Shore or maybe in a Soprano's character's bedroom.
IT'S. TOO. FUCKIN. MUCH. |

Soprano's Cerebus gets, he guesses. But Cerebus can assure you he's never watched one single second of Jersey Shore. Nor did he ever watch a single second of The Hills or any other post-Real World MTV reality show.
No, no. Cerebus was quite clear, conceptually, regarding the headboard. Make it whatever the hell you want. Cerebus just likes the FISH TANK. |

Conceptually, in design, the tank sort of acts as an extension of the headboard.
The fishtank might be great with shelve's or some other design feature within it. IMO the bed-tank set up is excessive and tacky. I bet there's faux finishes and Tuscan accents out the ASS all over that house. |

You just take that wall right on outta here mister. I vehemently disagree with you regarding the fish tank portion of this conversation. It would be something akin to a dream come true for me. I'm sure you're correct about the rest of the house (the tank with the three screens on it is not exactly screaming tasteful), but I would have NO faux Tuscan accents in my house, so step off my fish tank bed. |

Naaaaah. They're engineered to be so much stronger than they need to be. Haven't you ever been to a big aquarium? If anything it might leak someday, but that's pretty doubtful too so long as you keep water in it all the time. |
