O.K. so what happened? Your family acted like they forgot and then they made up for it?

Was it "Nigel" that called? Who took you out for lobster dinner and drinks? Fill us in please. Have you seen anyone else since "Nigel" has supposedly been out of the picture? He obviously misses you if he has text you often.

Well, my dad realized he forgot right at 8 on the dot that night. His girlfriend was all "guuuurl why you ain't tell nobody it was yo birfday?" and I let that go, 'cause I marked the date on the kitchen calendar in big markers August 1st. She's all "I saw Shonda's (her daughter) birfday on da fifteeth but no yours." (At some point in the night I just scribbled over it kinda pissed off...)

Next day, dad and I just went old school like we used to do and went to Red Lobster just to talk, comment on world events, and murder some crab legs and a drink or two--nothin' fancy. "Nigel"...hahaha... Homey is an opportunist. I've been on low key and alone mode for a minute, educating myself and working on writing and working out. He texts because his e mail has been blocked since April and I uninstalled Yahoo IM ages ago. When poopsie needs attention, he calls on me. This time I just decided not to answer him. I know myself. That boy is too fine and a talk will turn into a hug into a kiss into a little brown chubby baby with his curly hair and my eyes.

Long story short, I'm steppin' away from the past and headin toward the future. Someday in the future, I might slither Downtown and find me a hippie man and start a relation or two. For now...I'm mellow.

With a can of Nigel spray at the door just in case.
