The sad reality is, just yesterday I was telling a buddy of mine at work "Damn I feel like eating something shitty for me, like a Honey Bun". Then we proceeded to lament over the calorie count, but in a manly way.

Was that hard to make?

not really... For the most part I followed the recipe and video by Gordon Ramsey... the worst part was the expense, the fillet alone cost almost $50... faint

Ya know, I totally love watching Hell's Kitchen (and pretty much any other GR show), but I've never had the slightest idea how they make this dish. Just know that the competitors get it wrong, a lot! lol That was very interesting.

BIG Hell's Kitchen fans here too!! highfive

Yeah, GR is easily one of the greatest assholes on TV but HE'S RIGHT!!! Some of those people are such idiots!! Especially now that I was able to do a Wellington and get it right... and no wonder he's pissed, at $50 a shot for the meat when they under/over cook those things on the show HOLY CRAP what a waste!!!

Tell me this isn't the worst batch of competitors ever this season! I don't think ANY of them deserve to win at this point. I thought last season was pretty great, too. But all these people are weak sauce. disbelief

not a huge fan of bloody meat, but that does look pretty great. Fillets are super expensive, but delicious

Frozen yogurt from my favorite places: Pinkberry, Berryline, JPLicks, etc - for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Weekends are frozen-yogurt-only time! I could eat buckets of the stuff. My 2x 3 weekend meals are just one big long dessert:) I look forward to them the whole week drooling [totally addicted, it's pathetic! lol]

Regarding the er... 'graphic' meat picture on this thread: I wish the meat-lovers/meat pics posters around here would spare a thought for the vegetarians/vegans among us... I'm feeling nauseous every time I catch sight of this bloody, bleeding dead thing! lol

'Homemade cappacino' - is that a typo - meaning, 'cappucino'? Or is it some Californian/Los Angelesian delicacy I haven't tried yet? hmmm

Not counting the calories: drooling

It always cracks me up how waffles seem to be a big breakfast thing in the US. We NEVER have waffles for breakfast in Belgium, ain't that right, Belgian Orgers?! lol I think it's more like a snack, with tea/coffee around 4-5 pm, after school for kids, or for watching TV, etc. And then for tourists in Brussels [they are the majority of those buying waffles from street vendors].

I wonder how this idea of having them for breakfast originated?... hmmm

Do you get brown sauce over there? 'cause that would make it perfect.
