The wind had kicked up tremendous speed thanks to Hurricane Irene. Ergo the more frantically I tried running towards my front door, the less ground I was making, to the point that I looked a bit like Rihanna trying to moonwalk in place.

He reached over to assist me just before lightening struck him from out of nowhere, leaving a charred, lifeless, but once-well-meaning corpse dead in front of me. I turned around to head for the garage, but realizing I was out of linolium flooring material, I hesistated and didn't.

Never before had having an insufficient quantity of linolium flooring material weighed so heavily upon me as in that whirlwind 2 hour period I feverishly considered heading for the garage before not doing so owing to the aforementioned shortage. It was like all at once I still didn't know what to do.

lol

I knew that I had to do something fast though, given the fact that vultures hovered overhead and various small squirels and neighborhood animals started to take notice of the new fresh corpse. I could only hope that they would be distracted by my wife's corpse instead now acessable through the half-opened garage door, her body making a perfect distraction being that it had at least 250 pounds on the young man's corpse.

I couldn't think anymore, and the more I thought about it the more I knew, in my mind, there was no hope. For a moment I thought about killing myself, but upon further mental reflection I thought it best instead to think on it until my ability to think returned and I was better placed to think it over.

I knew that if I just would wait, it would all daunt me. Then I would know what to do. My intuition will tell me when that time comes. Untill then I just had to let time pass.

The idea that Josh died in front of me just killed me. In front of my house! Who would have ever thought I would see him again. Let alone dead. My mind couldn't wrap it together anymore.

alright. Forget about this part. The story took another turn.

I kept repeating over and over 'And then I died. The end' but still I was plagued with doubt as to whether I should finish off the autobiography I knew Josh had been writing shortly before the tragic lightning strike, or whether people would suspect the addition was penned by someone other than Josh. I turned to walk towards what was left of his body for inspiration, for some kind of sign to tell me what to do, but was stopped dead in my tracks by the fact that I didn't turn and walk towards him and instead remained where I was.

Then it struck me. Maybe the lightening struck wasn't a conincedent. What if his death had anything to do with the autobiography he was working on? He was the most intelligent physicist I ever met. He called me a couple of weeks ago, sounding very stressed. He told me he found out that the weather was suspicious. Back then I didn't think much of it.

The fact that lightening hit him, right at the moment he almost finished his book, and only was a few steps apart from me, suddenly frightened me. I realized that if he was right about it, there was no way I or anybody else could protect ourselves from weather conditions that were deadly and stronger than me and anybody else for that matter. And he had known that. He knew the forces behind it. He understood the forces behind it. However, he wasn't capable of telling his story. He was lying dead a few feet in front of me.

I just couldn't move.

I agree. It's riveting. Never since watching a Kevin Costner film, have I been so consumed in one single delima: Will the protagonist or will he not......do something.

It's suspenseful.
