99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

hmmm You know there is never any men's fashion threads... only cuddles used to post back in the day.

Some of you clothes horses need to step up and post... and its also time for a new fragrance thread.

'Tis the season!

Other than nixing the gym sneakers...I was dissapointed that no one offered any substantial style tips in my "Orger Makeover" thread.

As a 40-y.o. divorced dad whose previous clothes shopping experience consisted of rummaging through clearance racks, I have a hard time determining what's too old for me, what's too young for me, and what is just right.

Ladies...help a brotha' out, will ya?

I believe they said find a more fitted shirt-but NOT a tight shirt.

Yeah, I remember that...and the Dockers with no pleats...

...but I'll tell u what my problem is...

I walk into Macy's for example. On one side is the Young Men's section, on the other the Old Man's section. There are limited affordable brands (in my opinion) that cater to the middle age crowd. I find myself shuffling back and forth from stuff that either makes me look like I'm headed for college or stuff that makes me look like I'm headed for retirement.

shrug

From one dude to another-Buy a nice jean(not a dad jean-loose baggy or a teenager jean super skinny jean). Don't buy dockers. Buy a pair of not to trendy jeans (stay away from buckle store-too trendy). I personally like Guess jeans-(available on line at guess stores, guess.com or at some Macy's and on Macy's.com). Just don't get the trendy guess jeans-they have ultra trendy and normal. Guess jeans have different fitting jeans-find one that flatters you. As for a shirt-Dress shirt that you like whether Calvin Klein or INC or whatever. And a nice dress shoe or boot-whatever fits your style. No running shoes!!!

whew All this give a crap is exhausting.
