Have you or anyone you know been wrongfully accused of commiting a crime?

Supposedly a family friend was, and he's spending his life in prison because of it. But I've never actually 100% believed his innocence.

I used to get followed around in stores a lot. Really long hair, piercings, not the most smiley type of person. For whatever reason undercover security thought I looked like I needed to be followed. I got really good at spotting them, though. Most of the time I would just stop, turn around and stare at them as they nervously passed by. One time the guy following me stopped and pretended he was looking at canned vegetables for about 10 minutes. When he finally went the other direction I followed him. I proceeded to follow him until he started looking back at me over his shoulder every ten seconds or so. I kept following him until he finally went through the office door behind the customer service counter. In total it was probably a good 15-20 minutes of him walking around the store, up and down the same aisles he'd already been down three times. Thinking about it right now still makes me smile.

I grew up in an awful neighborhood... seen much. Never got tangled into any shit to be accused of anything. I knew better. People were dying around me .... oh hell no.

For some people this is an expected norm.... even being searched/harassed by police. Heck there was a time I would feel weird if I wasn't followed in a store. I would always turn around and ask the store keep to find sizes/items for me or ask about sale items.

"Oh HELLO!... since you're here why don't you here can you find these in black, size___ ."

Awesome. I never did that because then I might have to, ya know, TALK to them. I hated that mess, though. Used to really piss me off because there was probaly somebody perfectly "normal" filling their purse, backpack or freakin' baby stroller with high dollar items while their dumb asses were following me around.

The master's friend went to jail for fraud, his company did dodgy stuff and he didn't know about it, but he was the boss, so he was accountable.

that show is so fake. aint a law enforcement agency around that is as sophisticated as CSI. if CSI were real, there would be no unsolved murders or other crimes EVER. Ole bootleg wannabe sherlock holmes and crew.

Sort of. This crack dealer called me at home one day and said he was going to kill me. Turned out I had the same name as some guy that stiffed him for some crack. He Googled the name, and I guess I was the top result.

It took all night to convince the guy I wasn't a dealer-stiffing crackhead.

My dad gets accused of terrorist activities (by the local police) in the business he runs because he's arab, and most of the people who work for him are too. The police will stop by my dads building from time to time to investigate . So stupid.

I don't think that arab is the new black. Every minority has their struggles. But arabs/muslims right now definitely have a lot of shit that they have to deal with today. It's not fun.

They said there's a warrant out for my arrest, and if I don't show up in court, they were coming to my residence to arrest me. I told them that I've never shoplift, nor have I been arrested before. Went to court, got fingerprinted, and when they saw that my fingerprints didn't match, they gave me papers to clear my name. The judge then put a warrant out for their arrest.
