ladies of the org..

so as a hairstylist im always up for trying new things to my hair.. ive been getting in a dilema lately because ive been growing my hair and its now past my tits and i no longer really know how to syle it. last week i got a beach waver and i did it to my hair today and it seems to look cute..something new cause i get bored doing my hair the same way every day.. one item ive been curious about though that i havent been able to try is a curl wand..

[img:$uid]http://i982.photobucket.com/albums/ae304/lipsticklove16/curlingwand.jpg[/img:$uid]

have any of you used one ?

does the curl last?

and lastly do you think the iron is too small for hair past your boobs ? am i gonna come into a dilema? should i stick with a over sized curling iron or try this new product?

ive seen no reviews on them so thats why im asking...

thanks

Isnt it just a curling iron with out the clamp part? Other than its fatter at the bottom... How would that look, tighter at the head and looser on the bottom??

im guessing so its supposed to give you like a romantic loose curl big at the top going smaller to the bottom.. but i dont know if they heat up good or because your winding the hair itself if the curl will last and hold good..

I have one, it's amazing. I have thick, longer hair and it works great. I can even sleep on it and my hair is still curled the next day.

I usually use it to syle my hair this way.

So you must have to have long hair to use it then... It would not work for short hair at all I imagine..

Oh, I think it would work on short hair. Well...not short short. But maybe...like 4" or so.

Of course, it wouldn't be for me. That's what my hair looks like when I don't flatten it. lol

Yes, it also works well on short hair. it's all in the technique.

The only thing I would recommend is to wear the glove it comes with until you get used to using it. You WILL burn yourself if you don't.

It's actually a pain. The wave is very random and unpredictable. It depends on humidity, what shampoo I use, what product I use - or a combination of all of the above.

I usually straighten it because it's the easiest way for me to have a consistent "look."

Genesia, have you ever used one of those curl enhancers to get more curl to it?

I used to do that too! But my hair got so unhealthy and I got too lazy to straighten it everyday and I gave up. But then I realised my natural hair isn't as bad as I thought it was, it still goes frizzy some days but I don't really care that much haha, if it's really bad I'll tie it up.

I haven't worn long hair since I was 10 - so I really wouldn't know. lol

The longest it's been as an adult is just below my chin. Down to that length, it gets wavier as it gets longer.
