I'm going to have to say something because I still have one more appointment booked with her - and I won't just not show up. Luckily, her phone system is voicemail only - so it never rings in the "salon." (She has a single-chair space in a building that is all single-operator mini salons.)

Then just be honest. Just say it hasn't been the same. Maybe being aware of it will make her get back on her game...since you were happy with her to begin with. And if it doesn't, you've laid it out so it's not like she didn't have a chance at keeping a client. shrug

Oh, I didn't mean I'd keep the appointment. I'm going to cancel it - but at least do a little, "I just feel like I need to make a change" speech.

She knows I haven't been 100% happy. Hell, when I went in there last night, I pointed out the issues with the back of my hair and said, "Does this look even to you?" She admitted that it wasn't - and proceeded to do exactly the same thing again. I tried like anything to get it remedied before I left - but she had another client waiting and it was just useless, at that point.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Have you considered having her killed? Then you don't have to make a speech at all.

Nah. I actually like her - which is why I've given her about a kabillion chances. But enough's enough.
