Harlepolis

I think the author's heart was in the right place, but the result turned out to be sloppy.

Well it's not easy.

This thread reminds me of Palmy. Palmy was my only childhood friend. Because I was fat. bawl

Being fat also prevented me from wearing pants in public, a habit I never really kicked.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

yeah I'm not sure it is sending the wrong message, but it looks like a crappy book!

Well, there's probably a reason it was self-published.

Agreed about "all over the place" nod

I don't disagree that the book (if as one sided as portrayed in the piece, for all we know there could be aspects of it not shown here because then the piece wouldn't be sensational) would probably not be hurt by a little fine-tuning. But the overall point of it I don't have issue with. Of course, a parent could actually read it to a child and explain to their child that there are variations and degrees to everything in life...imagine that, a parent actually having a conversation with a child over something like this rather than getting on a soapbox and pointing figers at the author of the book. omfg
