Who knows why they do what they do..but really more important things should be happening in one's RL to not be so invested in being catty on a freaking message board.
Honestly sometimes this place can really be fun and serve as a release from one's RL stress...at other times it's just the opposite.

Some folks are just bitter, and best avoided in person and on the net.
See that's the thing I reeeeaaaaaaaaaaaallly can't get.
How hard is it to avoid someone you don't like?...I'll answer....It not that hard at all. It's cyberspace. The childishness displayed by grown ass folk on here is really annoying.
Unfortunately it's impossible to keep evil folks from stalking others. What one can do then? Avoiding any fun place in the cyberspace? [Edited 8/19/11 7:41am] Is there any place of refuge one can flee from this insanity |

I love the org - the love, the happiness, the sadness, the sarcasm, the bitterness and all. As a whole, I don't think we are an unfriendly bunch at all. We are dealing with all kinds of people here, which means all different personalities. Some are nicer than others and that's fine. If I were to come here everyday and see everyone joining hands and singing "Kumbaya", I don't think I would stick around here long. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! The org is the friendliest message board I've been to.

The org is like a cake walk compared to other Boards
The fights arent as hateful and dirty as the others.
I don't get me wrong it's nuttjob city in here but everyones decent for the most part.
[Edited 8/19/11 1:42am]
Its only unfriendly about 5-7 days out of every month. When the boys are on the rag....OOH CHILE LOOK OUT! I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

It might be cliquish, but not unfriendly at all. I know other forums and internet communities worse than that...
It's cliquish alright but im guessing some know each other outside the org, thats why its so cliquie-y.
Some of these people have been posting on here for like 10 years +, its gonna be some bonding..no doubt
Here and at other sites, yeah. Its over ten years for me. And I'm not even very well cliqued.
I agree about the sarcasm, because it is often misunderstood. But for me personally, that's how I am in real life, too. I mean, to me, the way I type sounds like the way I talk. So I guess I just expect people to get it and that's probably unfair. I know I definitely had to pull back from responding to some things other people were saying because to me it seemed like they were being hateful assholes. So I guess any sarcasm probably comes across that way to one person or another.
Not sure about how bad this board is compared to others. I've been to some that are definitely more insulting and mean with their verbage, but that kind of stuff is more easily laughed off. I think the org, especially for new people, can be a bit offputting with its blunt honesty and hard responses to completely innocent posts. |

I was reading another forum the other day- I don't even remember about what- and the people were so nasty!
The name-calling and insults were ridiculous! I thought, "Don't they have Mods?"
Also, I belong to a Camaro forum. I stopped going there because it was so intense. People would put down others' cars, and it was a pissing contest for "Camaro experts". It was like PM&M 10x worse...

Sarcasm is very difficult to relay through written form, and whatever humor was intended gets easily lost in the translation. Plus, I've always felt that sarcasm is just another expression of hostility. I have a low tolerance for both sarcasm and bullshit.
yeah, it totally reads that way I always wonder why people take the time out to be unpleasant each to their own
Im a little sarcastic but im mean no harm in it. Really, i just like to see how witty i could be.
Rarely...shoot almost never does it have anything to do with the other person.

I must admit that I come here for some companionship, laughter and to get things off my chest and have an intelligent conversation or a laugh. I regard most people on here highly - they have also taught me about how differences make us stronger and have broadened my outlook. When I first joined here I thought that at first it was a bit cliquey but I have made some friends over this Org and for that I am grateful.
BTW = what other Org site would send money or support to an Orger that needed our help (Punkmistress) - I know of no other.
This Org has lifted my spirits when I have been ill or suffered with depression.
I love the people on this site. "I may not agree with what you say but I'll fight for your right to say it"

HOLD UP! The Org is handing out MONEY?!?
Seriously though, I was a member of an online forum several years back that pooled some loot together to help a member in Houston, Texas. But in the end, I believe it was a scam. "There's Nothing That The Proper Attitude Won't Render Funkable!"

I'd say the Org and operationsports.com(which is heavily moderated), are the 'softest' sites I go to. Some folks here are just too damn thin-skinned and PC, especially when their favorite celebrities get goofed on. |

Eh I can't tell how many times I've met somebody who displays a bullying attitude behind a computer screen who turns out to be a very timid mouse in person. Everytime you see one of them in P&R or Prince Music, I get reminded to turn on my mental block.
Because other than that, there's a cool bunch in here. |

Exactly. Nothing but 'keyboard gangstas'. It's easy to act rough from behind one's computer - computers can't whip ya ass. |

I've always found people here to be funny, friendly and cool for the most part.
I tend to come around for a season then I go MIA for long periods of time. There are a handful of people I have gotten to know over the years and I absolutely adore them.
This place def has its crazy moments though. |

This is hilarious! Was he on a game show? It would be fun to know the background of why he was acting like this. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin. |
