I don't know much about what's "trailer park" .... but I live in south Boston.

White people hate the white people in Southie because they say that Southie whites are trash.

"Urban-let-me-show-you-my-bullet-holes-scars-I-ain't-scared-of-no-niggas-and-hate-them" type folks.

The women over 35 stay drunk or look drunk while completely sober. They eyeball you hard and will tell you "You don't belong here".

The men over 35 are not seen because they are doing time in South Bay.

The ones that aren't work as staties along Carson Beach. They eyeball you hard and say "You don't belong here"

The teens are usually a good looking bunch for Irish folks, you would be hard pressed to find an ugly one... but they usually have acne from using meth and really bad breath and teeth. They eyeball you hard and say "You don't belong here".

They little kids are usually nappy headed 1/2 black children of the teens. They just look confused, cute as hell though... they openly use words like "nigger" and "hate" often... (lovinly taught by open-minded grand parents that are upset they had to move to the south shore to get away from brown folks moving in like me)....they play freely in the streets until mid-night and are usually care-free and on ritolin during the school year.

THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT POOR... they usually live in decent (upper middle-middle class) homes and have gambling problems they can support.

They are a unique bunch because no other white people I know act this hard at all... they are mean sons of bitches and proud of it. Born to be hockey champions. They have and edge. Don't mess with those people... give them a dollar and just walk away.

They do not blend well at all with the trendy yuppies moving in that worry about their carbon footprint and wear tailored understated designer clothing.... or any other white people for that matter.

Movies have been made of these people... they are an interesting bunch, and they change for no one! They don't do tourists either so don't come around asking shit to anyone about anybody.

"Ghetto" is a lack of class.... you can be any color and be ghetto.... heck you don't even have to be poor to be ghetto.

I have witnessed lots of ghetto behaviors from middle-class people more so than the poor people I know. These ghetto people live in nice homes, and have been "educated".... but still you can't go anywhere with these heffas without worry of embarassing behavior being exhibited by them.

Ghetto people don't even have to dress the part either... just let them open their mouths and speak to you, within the first sentence spoken you will think

"Yup, ghetto!"

Boston is spaychul... the women look nice and classy, but they will fist fight you til you are bloody over a nickel in the church bookstore on Easter Sunday. Just trifiling sistas.

well... that's my "trash vs. ghetto"... but I know zip about "trailer park".

and I think those terms do not soley belong to poor people, although many poor people do behave that way.

I dunno. I've seen some pretty fucked up trailer parks from the freeway and on road trips. I mean if you are poor and you have nowhere to go and you're renting your trailer.

I been to a trailer park once, one of those double-wides in Georgia. It wasn't bad, it was nice actually. Changed my mind on trailer park folks.

But as far as sweeping generalizations go... I think black ghetto hoods are always worse than the trailer parks.

Trailer parks have greenery and three legged dogs. That means people there still care enough to care for mamed doggies and grow flowers... they show lots of love for their families too.

In the hood the dogs are fought and killed off for sport and there is concrete everywhere... try growing a flower there and a bitch will pick that shit just to steal your joy.

There's no love in the city.

I will add... that funding for poor developments are not equal.

One drive through any poor neighborhood will tell you what is being done and how much support a community has.

I live where the extreme poor live side-by-side with the wealthy.

I think NYC is another city that is like that as well.

You would be shocked by where some people live... I met quite a few rich people who I thought were poor because of the way they acted. I thought they were ghetto/trashy as hell.

Bus stops in certain parts of downtown LA almost always smell like piss but usually in the afternoon. I think that's when the homeless awake.

I have not seen too many trailer parks in the ghetto (though I have seen a couple)

I say it depends on which area. There are some pretty fucked up places on both sides of the scale.
