I do a pesto, grilled chicken, red onion pizza that I love (sometimes I add olives as well).

Pepperoni, mushroom, green peppers, and onion is another favorite.

I tried a recipe once that used those on pizza. I really liked it. Had forgotten all about it, til you posted that. Might have to make it again sometime.

I typically like beef and red onions.

Have you guys ever tried this recipe? It's pretty tasty.

Bubble Pizza

1 lb ground beef

1/4 pound sliced pepperoni sausage

1 (14 oz) can pizza sauce

2 (12 oz) packages refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough

1/2 onion, sliced and separated into rings

1 (10 oz) can sliced black olives

1 (4.5 oz) can sliced mushrooms

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Stir in pepperoni, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in pizza sauce. Remove from heat, and set aside.
  2. Cut biscuits into quarters, and place in the bottom of baking dish. Spread meat mixture evenly over the biscuits. Sprinkle top with onion, olives and mushrooms.
  3. Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Sprinkle top with mozzarella and Cheddar cheese. Bake an additional 5 to 10 minutes, until cheese is melted. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Shake it til ya make it dancing jig

my best friend makes a delish carmalized onion, asparagas and portobella mushroom pizza. Her sauces is different too...kinda sweet. It's a secret, but I think there's BBQ sauce in her pizza sauce.

but I gotta say, every bite of her pizza is like DAMN that's good.

she makes one for her daughter too that's got mac and cheese and hot dogs on it. smile

"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

I like a nice, greasy, plain old cheese slice (NY style of course) any day of the week.

Sausage & black olives to spice it up a bit.

As for "unique" toppings...an Irish bar/restaurant that we have lunch at sometimes, offered Corned Beef & Cabbage pizza for St. Patrick's Day.

We ordered it as a WTF, and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS!!! drool

BUT - when you say "pizza" then you have to have some sort of cheese and some sort of sauce. When you start getting all fancy with seafood and other stuff, then you're basically just making a gourmet flatbread.

Dough: as usual, and a little greated parmesan (don't tell my secret ingredient!)

Homemade tomatosauce (can tasty whole tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, fresh oregano)

Toppings: proscuito, mozarella, fresh rosamary, cherry tomatoes, green olives.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Rhyging

Sun dried tomatoes, olive oil, a lil' bit of garlic, parsley, grilled vegetables and NO CHEESE!

My girlfriend loves it to death, plus it's sort of healthy, at least I guess...

I either like just the usual, Pepperoni and cheese or sausage and cheese or pepperoni, sausage and cheese.

My next choice is a veggie pizza...black olives, green peppers, onions, tomatoes and cheese on a thin crust.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

LionsAndTigers

I like it either with cheese, Italian sausage, and peppers or just cheese with pepperoni. I also like to do it with bbq sauce in place of the tomato sauce and then top it with a little cheese and chicken and spinach drool

marshmallow cream chocolate chips, strawbrry slices, crushed pecans or walnuts, and a sprinkle of sea salt. All(except strawberries) put on a pre-baked crust and broiled post assembly for 2 mins. Then put strawberry slices on post-broilng.
