Bernie Mac

Any fans here? Was just listening to an interview he did on Howard Stern, 'round about 2001. Very interesting guy (and, of course, gone too soon tombstone rose).

Big fan, though I did not find out about him until Kings of Comedy and he didn't have that many years left. Immense talent.

During the Stern interview, he basically dissed Spike Lee.

Loved Bernie Mac. I was just thinking of him today in church while I was helping the tweens' Sunday school: man, the boys were so ruthlessly unruly and disrespectful towards the other teachers (I'm there specifically to care for one paralyzed child so theoretically they're not supposed to be my problem); I was about two seconds from telling them "if you don't sit your behind down and hush, I c I'mma call ya mamma down here to beat'cho behind down to the white meat. pissed "...I'm telling you, this afternoon was one of those truly hellish experiences where you know just exactly what Bernie meant when he said,

"I don't care, I'll punch a muth*****in' kid in the thoat"

Man, I was missing him at that moment touched

Not a hang on his every word, seen everything he's ever done type fan, but I truly appreciate his humor and he is gone way too soon.

R.I.P. Bernie Mac

I'm a fan. Bernie acting chops were superb; unfortunately most of his films didn't match talent.

When ever the movie "Life" is shown on cable, I watch it. I can't tolerate Eddie Murphy nor Martin Lawerence but Bernie's acting in that movie is touching. What a lost.

Bernie was Big on the Comedy-Club circuit before he went Mainstream...People think Bernie's career started when he made it to TV but he was making $$$$ selling out shows in smaller venues and clubs...So he earned his Mainstream success. Deff gone to soon.....

And as far as I'm concerned he was the KING of Comedy when he ttoured with the other Brothas...

One of my all time favorite comedians. I first became aware of him during Def Comedy Jam and loved him ever since. Wish he was still around..the comedy world could use him right now.

Good music makes me happy.

The part about the woman giving him head in Kings of Comedy still kills me falloff

He's from the Robin Harris school, although I don't really find Mr.Harris that funny.

Yup. There's also a sample in Pope from Bernie's first Def Jam performance....'she'll help you once again"

Good music makes me happy.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Bernie always had me doubled over, with a pain in the side kind of laughter. lol I must admit, I did not like his show (Bernie Mac show) when it first aired. I was like huh? What kind of mess is this?!?! However, I realized his brilliance in creating that show and I ended up loving it! I still watch reruns. I was on vacation when he passed in Myrtle Beach, it was a sad moment for sure. He was too young and his presence is surely missed in the comedic circle. sad

Big fan. Dug his TV show, but was mostly a fan of his small parts in movies. Friday, the Ocean's movies (yes, I actually like them), Bad Santa, etc. I didn't know his stand up other than Kings Of Comedy, and I really didn't laugh that much when I watched that.
