...And what for, exactly? What, do you think Spinlight needs you to come and defend his honor? He doesn't. I've seen him do just fine on that front on his own. Notice that he isn't really doing so now because he understands the obvious here which apparently went right over your head - which is that, I'm joking. We razz each other, that's what we do.
And if you want to get into some kinda catty competition you should know that's pointless too because I'm not interested in him like that so you're wasting time on me that you could be spending trying to get into his pants, if that's your ultimate wish.
But if it's just about you being bored and wanting to argue with someone, you should pretty much just go find someone else to do it with because nothing you say impresses me, intimidates me, or provokes me enough to be willing to go back and forth with you like you want.
Sorry.
Last words to you.
Surprise! You're not the only one.
Now, if what you are saying is that this joking is for you and Spinlight only, don't make it
public, where everyone can comment on it, send him a note.
"Aren't you even curious? Don't you want to see the dragon behind the door?"
Out of all Bowie's music, the only stuff I can really listen to without either wanting to fall asleep or wishing for hearing loss, is "Let's Dance", "China Girl" and "Cat People".
no space odity? lol
insatiable3: how can i cure my hangover?

I can tell genuine ribbing from personal attacks. You want to try and pass the latter off as the former, feel free. It doesn't affect me either way.
I'll post whatever I want wherever I want to whomever I want unless a mod tells me otherwise, and you are not a moderator.
And now, with all due respect, I'm completely done with this particular subject and interacting with you.

You mentioning that is kinda funny because I was just at YouTube a night or two ago watching that exact video. The song is pretty 'meh' for me and as far as the visuals go - the whole Ziggy Stardust thing - I was sitting there making the 'Who Farted' face the entire time, that is, when I wasn't laughing. I just can't take the whole Stardust era seriously at all.

"...and If all of this Love Talk ends with Prince getting married to someone other than me, all I would like to do is give Prince a life size Purple Fabric Cloud Guitar that I made from a vintage bedspread that I used as a Christmas Tree Skirt." Tame, Feb
5 things that Bowie's persona represents and that fascinates me (and many others):
- Alienation.
- Madness.
- Sexual confussion/ambiguity.
- Change.
- Enthusiasm.
Yeah, I know he's supposed to be the poster-boy for complete and total nonconformity. And that type of stuff is totally my thing, which is why it kind of surprises me that I can't really get into his work and find his Stardust era just loony and comical. Maybe it doesn't feel genuine to me or something? In the bio I'm reading they made it sound like he started off as a 'normal' artist, then he suddenly started wearing dresses, dying his hair and putting makeup on...the guy who wrote the book is a fan so I think he thinks this was a genuine personal evolution on Bowie's part, but I'm more cynical and I think he just got sick of not having a big hit and not getting any press at that point, so he figured "I bet if I put a fucking dress on people will listen to me", and the rest is history...

I like the Stardust era a lot, but I'd recommend other albums. The 1976-1977 period, that is, Station To Station, Low and Heroes. It may be his weirdest set of albums, but all three are genius at work. It can also be considered the roots of synth-pop, bringing krautrock into the mainstream and therefore beginning the 80's. You have doubts about his sincerity in the Stardust era; I think you won't have them with these albums, Bowie really evolved genuinely in an anti-commercial, artistic sense. Hey, you may even see more of his fascinating persona in this music! That's my suggestion.
