Its hard I know, once your heart starts beating and you panic and you start to think theres no way I can get away etc yuor rational thought can escape you.....this is why when women, young ladies in particular, scare the FUCK out of me when they go out partying, cuz they ARE SO UNAWARE of who's around them. When i'm out with lady friends I have to turn into some kind of Ninja....

Anyway.....erm, you did the right thing though, you stopped yourself from beign alone, and that by itself is the biggest deterrent Im sure (well not THAT sure, im not a rapist... ) I guess in future always try to analyse situations as they happen, how big they are, type of clothes they're wearing, where the exits are, is there security around, have phone of local police on speed-dial, is mace handy.....and if they do go for it scratch their eyes out and kick them or pull HARD on their bollocks.....they cant assault you if theyre blind or in agony.

You should get a mace for your keychain, that way you have it with you anytime you have

your keys on you.

I also have a knife in each of my bags, I never leave home without something.

Through my church here in Europe, I'm deeply immersed in a large community of Africans from all over the continent, and I call BS on this story. Sadly, I will say that the stories about "Virgin Cure" regarding the AIDS epidemic is true, and an issue many countries are desperately to get under control by educating people in basic sex ed, AIDS awareness and prevention, etc. Just knowing even the tiniest of the political situation of Zimbabwe, how the culture is structured, the unrest, the living, breathing psychosis that is its president (Robert Mugabe), the brutality of its' military against own people- I doubt such a band of women would get very far with something like over an extended period let alone actually make news with it: it's far more likely that even on suspiscion of doing anything considered not in line with the law or local military orders they would be arrested, tortured, and have their limbs cut off by machete. The authorities don't play that sh** over there.
