I've heard that too. Lots of incest as well which probably contributes to it. I doubt its environmental though. If there were enivornmental issues such as chemical poisoning, I'd think we'd see more occurrences of certain types of cancers or tumors versus some other type of deformity.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw this. Why does freaky shit like this happen in the smallest corners of the world that no one knows about? It's weird....

This is not an unheard of phenomenom. Even here in the states.
