Some gorgeous mature ladies

Lets post some photos biggrin

I have a criteria though, the photos need to be shot in a studio and the woman needs to be at least 45.

Reason being I'm shooting some casual portrait/headshots of 2 vibrant plus 50s on Saturday, and want to get the lighting right to be super flattering

This one is one I think is really nice:

Lit from below with a softbox.

This one too, nice and soft but lots of detail.

Just today a dude on that dating site said I look like Madonna...and it wasn't even the same pic.

I blame you.

Here is one I like. This aussie actress is usually shot in a harsh unflattering way in the women's mags, but now she is ambassador for Olay Regenerist, they have softened things up with the lighting.

aging. such a grand process. things get wrinkled that weren't, the odd bits pop and snap, and when one's knee gives out mommy ain't gonna kiss it and make it better. for one thing, she passed on ages ago and for another, that's just how it is. things give out when we get old. finito! kaPUT. including our bodies, our minds, our faces. so, to sum up, i just want to say.. uh that uh..

this isn't the getting OLD thread! lol

it's about lighting the mature complexion mr.green

it's also about personality

I've noticed studio portraits of younger women show no personality, it's usually a vacuuous or come hither kind of expression mad I'm generally finding more SOUL in the photos of women 40+

well, that's because only time and experience can reveal what it takes to put the wrinkles on someone's face. youth has no clue. i remember those days. i prefer old age, al la bengay~! smile

This is a Canadian singer named Mitsou. She's only in her 40s but I really like this picture of her.

nod

but it's not just that the younger subject has no clue. I can get personality out of my subjects regardless of age, but they aren't known for their beauty and they can't get away with just looks alone razz

Yup, this is the kind of thing I am looking for nod Nice even lighting - from the side too, which adds drama.
