YOUR FAVORITE

What is your favorite holiday and why? and are you the type of person who likes to decorate for each one?

Any holiday I don't have to be around a bunch of drunk and merry people.

Don't
bother
me.
Just
let
me
eat,
and
don't
interrogate
me.

Sincerely,

I love decorating for all holidays except for Saint Patricks Day, the only problem is is that sometimes I can get a little carried away.

I prefer Turkey Day. There is no better holiday than lying around on your arse with a plate of turkey and mashed potatos, and cranberry sauce (my favorite part) and a glass of wine, and fattening yourself up.

Thanksgiving. A wonderful day. I am always thankful for the vast amounts of food to be found, and the leftovers that last about a week. biggrin

Halloween! I LOVE Halloween! Every other holiday is pretty lame in comparison. I love dressing up and yes, I decorate. I love fake spiderwebs and witches and ghosts and all that.

Halloween and Christmas! It's a tie though. If you can't find a really great Halloween party, it can kind of suck. But I love decorating for both. And where I live, they don't celebrate Halloween anyway. sad

I like the holidays that everyone celebrates - birthdays are good for getting away with selfishness for a while, but i love the whole atmosphere that everyone shares at Christmas and new year. o' course that's only communal because I live in the UK and don't have many (but some) muslim/hindu/buddhist/etc friends.

Anyone come up with a holiday EVERYONE can share in, cos I would nominate that as my favourite.

Turkey Day for me - for sentimental reasons & it's the only holiday that my family & I make it a point to get together. We sit around the table laughing, talking & eating for hours. I really love it...

Of course, there are. Some people are simple and weakminded. I was kidding about my previous post but I seriously don't particularly care for holidays anymore and I only celebrate them for my kids' sake.

4th of July is not a "holiday". It is a day of celebration. Plus JW's do not celebrate religous holidays for they have different views. But we all know what the 4th of July is and it has NOTHING to do with religion..Are you a JW or just not happy? You have to be able to celebrate something in life. smile

I was kidding, but all the JWs I know do not celebrate any holiday, religious or not.

Halloween, hands down. I love being scared - which is why I'm pretty notorious around my friends for being the harcore horror movie person.

Last Halloween wasn't so fun though...
I mean, like, where is the sun?
