Deadflow3r's trip thread got me thinking...if i could pull it off, where would I travel to just to be able to meet some amazing Orgers?

I mean, we can all say "one day I'm going to fly to Europe/America/Asia to see XXX" and not really mean it.

I want to know...seriously...how far would you travel (and incur the expenses) just to be able to meet an Orger?

I don't think I'd be wiling to travel much. I've met a few orgers before and it was only about an hour trip

I would LOVE to meet zaza and mostbeautifulboy, they are my best friends on the internet, they live on the other side of the planet so I would do that!!! and of course BOB

Me -

NYC - this is the easiest for me. A 30min train ride and I'm THERE to meet whatever Orger happens to be there and wants to have a beer (or margarita).

BOSTON - I would drive the 3 or 4 hours to be able to meet Paintedlady and have a cup of café-con-leche. No problem.

NORTH CAROLINA - I would drive the 10 or so hours to visit Macheala's mountaintop compound and experience nirvana first-hand.

FLORIDA - I would definitely drive down to Florida (non-stop even) just to have a beer with JerseyKRS and Punkmistress. Actually... after a damned 20-hour drive, it had better be more than one beer! Then I could have a few drinks with JohnArt, but I'm afraid the two of us assembling anywhere would raise fears of an Al-Queda meeting and Homeland Security would be all over us.

CALIFORNIA - I would fly to the West coast to be able to thank InternationalLover82 for the huge ego-boost from her "top-5" list.

AUSTRIA - seriously considering getting a trip planned next year to meet Serious.

ARGENTINA - with CALLMECARRIE in Buenos Aires for the time being, what better time to travel to South America?

THAILAND - get an Org invasion going with enough of a lead time, and I would save up the cash to make this trip to meet Imago and Fauxie.

AUSTRALIA - yes Charlotte...I would save up my pennies to fly halfway around the world to see the fabulous Zombiekitten in all her glory!

I know I'm forgetting others...so pending any other offers or invitations, this is what my list looks like right now.

I would go to France to meet MarySharon in a second. That may happen rather soon actually.

And next week, I'm going to SF to meet NDRU.

The farthest I have ever traveled to meet an orger for the first time was Vienna to meet Serious.

The other places I have gone to see orgers, I had met them previously so there were no surprises.

I pretty much keep an eye out for what orgers might be wherever I get the opportunity to travel.

This is on my list of places (few) that I'd spend that long on a plane.
I really would LOVE to make that happen, actually.
