Amsterdam is great and all but I miss the ocean, mountains, wildlife etc.

The wildlife in Amsterdam is mainly located in the gay area's confused

The reguliersdwarsstraat recently was offically re-opened by the mayor. Even the Exit is going to get renovated and reopens in a few months again.

It's really a good place te be again woot!

I'm only a few minutes drive from the sea, a stone's throw from the english countryside, 90 minutes (train) from London. There are loads of gorgeous places to walk close-by and we have a pretty low crime rate. East Anglia usually gets ok weather (for England anyway).

And i've lived in my town all my life. This is where most of my friends are - which is what I like the most.

Oh - and I can be in France, Belguim, Amsterdam pretty quickly from where I live too. biggrin

Sorry, i'm in a mix of self pity that no one watched the video I posted and throes of freaking out about niburu. On second thought don't bother watching the video. Just run for the hills.

Man, I need pills.

Ditto. Nothing like being able to decide at the very last minute, after work, to spend an evening in NYC. Love it.

FYI - Aretha Franklin will be performing for FREE at Coney Island, Brooklyn tonight. That's about an hour from where I am....I'm trying to convince my partner in crime (my lil sis) that we should go...

the four distinct seasons and the many thousands of lakes. the people of minneapolis, who are a down to earth, hard working bunch. pretty mellow compared to some of the higher stress areas i've lived in. it's not terribly expensive here, there are tons of theaters and musical venues, libraries and parks. lots of things to do. minneapolis consistently ranks way up on those nationwide quality of life tallies.

Not much, I like my flat, it's spacious and the way I want it, but my neighbours are mostly all cunts, and the area stinks of piss and crime.

Nice pretty city though, world heritage site and all that nose in the air shite.

Hmm.. honestly the weather. its perfect and im not being sarcastic. i hate the heat, i feel as if my brain is melting. so since this town located almost close to the bay its always windy. in fact in the morning it always looks like its gonna rain and the gulls are flying around happy just calling for the sky. most summers its usually cold, which i've grown to love. the winter and fall is the best there is a sense of tranquality in the air and people just heading straight for home. i love the weather where i live. i think i would totally love england and or ireland.

Although the people here in the northern part of the country are known as having a cool demeanor, they do have a sense of humor, too. A current art installation on the Alster Lake in downtown Hamburg:

A 'mermaid' sculpture created by Oliver Voss is seen in the late evening hours on Alster lake in Hamburg

Yup. Same here.

I live just north of the city and I like that I can be there quickly if I want and I like that I can go to the mountains and more rural areas easily too. nod It's nice to be able to have a change of scenery smile I live in a small town and it can be boring, but it's really beautiful here. Very mountainous and green and right by the river.

It never sleeps. With 24 hour public transportation, I can get home without paying for an expensive taxi at any hour of the night.

Every band and their mom plays here in NY eventually. I've seen pretty much every artist I've ever wanted to see perform in my city.

I really need to head up to the Monument this weekend, I'm not feeling my city right now, I mean I love it, it's home and all, just not the specialness of it, it feels like any other city, ssdd. Usually going up there seems to put things into prespective and I fall all back in love again.
