Wow so they're not confirming or denying the story. As bad of an actress Stacey is it would be a BIG mistake to get rid of her. Her character is an integral part of the show--this is the urban Sex In The City and Stacey's character is the Carrie Bradshaw of the show. Especially the way they ended the 1st season, to get rid of her now would be ridiculous. So far Stacey herself hasnt responded to these allegations either.

Who knows, this all could just be nothing more than a PR stunt concocted by the producers to get more people to tune in to the next season...just to see if if Val is still on the show.

Yeah, from the sounds of it, she's been fired. Because if she wasn't, wouldn't they also say that she's still going to be a part of season two? They only clear up rumors that can't be disproven. And, you probably right about the exec producer credit coming her way, even if it were to be unwritten.

Remember Stacy L was one of the writers/producers on All Of Us (another LisaRaye show) and Elise Neal got fired from that show because she and LisaRaye were feuding and Littlejohn took LisaRaye's side even though, by my estimation, Neal has had a longer run in the biz than LisaRaye. They can talk all that mess about how LR don't have the clout to get someone fired but I aint buying that mess no how no way.

Damn, I didn't even know that. Not only is that fucked up, but Stacey's the bigger, more accomplished "star"/actress between the two!!

But does anyone think that this might be a PR stunt the producers are pulling for ratings sake? Maybe LisaRaye and Stacy L answered in that vague way on purpose to get folks interested enough to tune into season 2. Creating drama and scandal for PR and ratings is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

That would work if we were already in season 2. When you are premiering a show the last thing you want to do is create negativity surrounding the show's stars. If these bitches just got hired for a job and are already bickering then it makes them and the show's creator look bad. Plus Stacy Dash has a lot of fans and if they thought their girl wasn't coming back then season 2 would take a serious hit. I'm just saying its a risky business move and this isn't a reality show. Nobody cares if reality stars come back or not because they, unlike actual actors and real celebrities, are very easy to replace.

Well, I did just hear on The siSTARs radio show/podcast (featuring Caryn Ward, Chrystee Pharris, Janora McDuffie, and Tanjareen Martin [God, that's GHETTO]) today that Stacey will INDEED be back on the show for next season and that it was all a rumor. So, we'll see if they know what they're talking about. And it sounds like they did, for that segment at least. But then again, Jawn Murray actually spoke to actresses who have already auditioned to replace Stacey for the next season. So, who the fuck knows!! Lol!

Which is why while I believe Stacey probably did get fired, I would doubt that Lisa Raye has the weight to make it happen. Hers is not even the central character of the show and is easily more replaceable than Val's. When you keep in mind that there are 8 producers for this series, I'm more likely to go with Stacey pissing off the wrong person with decison making power vs. the chick with bad diction who plays a textbook 'vamp'. Nobody's considered that the show's other executive producer is pretty notable & is alsothe show's director (she's Mike D from the Beastie Boys' wife) & she's deep in with the Drew Barrymore/Adam Sandler clique (Flower Films and Happy Madison= hello- BIG, contemporary, Jewish Hollywood power). I'd be much more apt to see her having to work with Stacey day in and out as a pain in the butt, then look at what having her around is costing her bottom line, and being the one having the forceful hand in saying 'I'm tired of this clueless heffa, get me a replacement". At the end of the day Raye's too small a player (considering the heavy hitters she's working for) to wield that big a hand.

I have a feeling that if they don't replace her with somewhat of a look-alike then they will probably open season 2 with Val having some kind of emotional breakdown and just leaving town for an indeterminate amount of time. Keisha will receive random texts from Val throughout the season saying "Hi, I'm in Paris, its beautiful, not sure if I want to come back". What a way to mess up a potentially good show.

This is most likely the reason Dash has been silent. She's been in the business long enough to know that sometimes what the network wants overrules what the show's producers want. My only question is, who the hell still feuds on tv shows? Memorize ya lines, bring ya ass to work on time, do ya job and take ya ass home unless ur scheduled to do promo events. These folks get way too personal on the set. I'll be damned if I waste my beauty sleep on any of them mofos.
