well i was camping at the weekend for the first time in years at the 80s rewind music festival outside perth in scotland and when i went into my small tent to sleep after the first day...i switched the little light on i had and the tent was crawling with spiders and earwigs... eek ...now i aint that worried about creepy crawlies but i hate those earwig things ...so i got a packet of baby wipes and proceeded to grab anything that was moving in that tent with a wipe and throw them out the tent...a big pile of baby wipes outside the tent that night smile ...

.

i didnt get a great sleep as you could imagine and i think i will give the camping a miss the next time i go to a festival..maybe a camper van ...that would be more me...

barf

U just reminded me of when I was on holiday and it wasnt exactly the greatest of accomodations, anyway......me and my friend had been out, got very drunk, crawled in at 6am or whatever, I tried drinking some orange juice before going to sleep, spilt a little.....then went to sleep.

Woke up a few hours later aware that something was irritating my face......and my neck....and my nose....and my ear....and my arm! omg Got up and saw that there was about 300 ants everywhere, all over the floor where i spilt some juice, all over me and my bed and the fridge.....

Disgusting.

.

Lucky I still have my brains.

I don't even have to kill these stupid idiots. They have made their way in and there is nothing to eat so they are just dying on their own.

But anyway, phase one is done. Room has been striped, cleaned and all baseboards have been sprayed.

These earwigs haven't done a thing to you, have they? They haven't touched you, or made any noise. They are only looking for food - food which your house probably covers. And yet, you want them out of your house and are doing everything you can to kill them.

I don't seem like such a monster when it comes to the frogs now, do I?

LOL, pretty ironic, huh?

I hope Erin has as much success and fun killing earwigs as I had killing frogs!

It's hilarious that some can not see the difference between removing earwigs from your home proper than fixing where they got in to prevent it from happening again and attempting to remove frogs from an open outdoor area.

Hilarious, but certainly not surprising considering who can't see the difference. lol

I wouldn't want pincher bugs/earwigs in my house. I don't think there's a problem with them on the island (pretty sure I've never seen one, actually), but inland a bit where a lot of my family lives they have a ton of them. They live under pretty much anything you set on the ground outside for more than a day. Outside, fine. Inside, they get crushed (of if they're very lucky swept up and tossed back outside). But they don't LIVE in their houses, they just sneak inside from time to time. If they were trying to live inside they would definitely be aggresively removed.

There seems to be LOADS of earwigs about in England this year. And ladybirds.

Sorry if anyone already posted that... I couldn't be bothered to read it all.
