i winced when i saw lucas' name, but since he didnt direct it... will prob go see it

The trailer looks amazing.

Now this is a movie that I would definitely pay to go see. I loved the HBO one too, but I'm still going to go see this one as well.

Right. Lucas wrote the screenplay with John Ridle, and hired a Black director, Anthony Hemingway.

There have been a slew of racist comments on YouTube about the trailer that really gave me pause. To quote a lyric from Prince: " 21st century, oh what a shame, what a shame race, race still matters".

First, its already been done, and done better than this.
Second, it looks like Lucas' typically awful melodramatic dialogue.
Third, unrealistic battle scenes that look and sound like Star Wars.
To sum up; no.

i'll wait for reviews, but the HBO movie really did it for me. gonna be hard to top that
