Just caught the series premier last night and ohhhh what a treat and impressive first installment. Stacey Dash is looking marvelous and although I've never thought her much of an actress, she really shined in the fist episode. LisaRaye is still looking great and I think she is the lead on the show but that has yet to be officially determined. Charity Shea's character has the most drama and what a lucky brawd to get to slob down rapper Common. I enjoyed all the guest stars in the fist ep...Common, Chili, Lauren London, that dude from Romeo Must Die

I can't believe these women are in their 40s. Ok wait, I couldn't believe it until Lauren showed up. The other women didn't look their age until they were in the prescence of a 20 something year old.

Yep it was a good first show. we'll see how it goes for the rest of the season. Lotsa eye candy.

I love my Basketball Wives and my Mob Wives and all those messy reality shows...so any scripted show where real actors and actresses are actually acting and acting well in that VH1 has for me.... is so refreshing right about now.

I watched and wasn't all that impressed.

Maybe it will grow on me after a few episodes.

Wasn't that Puffy's (sean combs) baby momma playing the part of the black mailer to LisayRaye's character? What happened to her? I thought she was built.

I was just about to start a topic about this, HotGritz! I should've known you'd beat me to it!

The first ep was okay. I'll be tuning in for the next one, but it did seem like all of the problems were nicely and neatly wrapped up and taken care of at the end. April's affair ain't found out. Instead, it's some other white chick (I see Mayor Common likes to go skiing). Stacey's character is not only not pregnant like she thought, but she got "revenge" on her ex and now the ex's former fiancee and her are girlfriends now. I guess the only other thing that was going on but it wasn't neatly "wrapped up" was Lisa Raye's thievery, which I'm sure will still come out. Either that chick is STILL gonna spill the beans, or maybe there was a camera in that trailer. Lol!

Amen!! Another Andre 3000 reference (if you've seen this episode, you'll know what I'm talking about). Gotta love it, but oh-so-true!!! But I wanna lay in THAT hair, if you know what I mean. Hell, the white girl Charity could get it too, the way she's looking on the show.

The acting is a little less than desireable. As beautiful as they are, looking at them walking around in tight dresses isn't entertaining to me, but I'll give them a chance to settle into their roles and show us what they're made of.

April and Keisha have the best plots so far. I'm eager to see if April will work things out with her husband and if Keisha will get caught for stealing that watch or if her would-be boyfriend will take her back, slimeball that he is.
