I don't love the movie, so I've really been enjoying this conversation.

I like the beginning of the movie a lot more than the second half. I was pretty baffled by the end

Star Trek first and foremost, woot!

Also Star Wars, LOTR, Harry Potter, Batman, Xmen, etc.

I love the genre and wish I had more time to check out some of the lesser known stories.

GRAPHIC NOVELS:

.

'Preacher' - Had me laughing from the beginning and the characters are strong an have depth, very evocative and entertaining. Its about a Preacher (Jesse Custer) who has lost his faith amidst the MOST FUCKED UP CHILDHOOD second only to Josef Fritzle's kids, then somewhere in a sort of parallel universe an Angel and a Demon fuck....its offspring, which has God-like powers possesses Jesse....cue Angel of Death's looking like Clint Eastwood killing everything, a secret faction hiding the existence of Jesus' inbred bloodline with more power than any government, an Irish vampire who'll kill you if you call him by his real name and lots of blood, death, violence humour and weird shit!! biggrin

.

VIDEO GAMES:

.

'Deus Ex' - multi-layered, intelligent, story driven First Person Shooter/Role Playing Game with nail biting conspiracy theories that rival that of 24 and The X-Files. Dated, but still plays really well.

.

'Halo' - If u haven't heard of Halo then you're a douche or just hate video games :p. Action packed FPS, set way into the future, is based on a coalition of alien races teaming up to genocidally fuck the human species.......then a cyborg super-soldier, Spartan 117 (you) gets thawed out... wink

.

TV SHOWS:

.

'The X-Files' - Half way through watching these all again and loving every minute of it. In 1993, paranoid zealout Fox Mulder gets assigned a new colleague, Dana Scully to help/spy on him uncover mystical truths about the paranormal and unearth government controlling conspiracies.
