True blood episode 41 "Me and the Devil" *SPOILERS* Another Sunday night another True Blood for me to be excited about!!! Show hasn't aired yet so not really anything in the way of spoilers at this time, but as always, don't read if you don't wanna know! V"V "Me and the Devil" Sookie nurtures Eric; Bill gets involved personally in the necromancy crisis; Pam takes the veil; Sam becomes Tommy's accomplice; Arlene and Terry look to religion to solve their problem; Jesus and Lafayette heats to Mexico to harness shaman's power; Jason convalesces. Following are my wishes and guesses. Okay, Sookie nurtures Eric.....Take about 40 minutes of the episode for that :beg: Bill...give him 5 min because he's dealing w/the witches who I love. Pam...5 min. Can't wait to see her in the veil. Seriously, I cannot express how much I love Pam. Out of all the characters, she is translated the best from the books. She's the one character who may be even better in the show than in the books. Really, it is neck-n-neck...har dee har. I'd give her much more time if not for my desire to see all, and yes I do mean all, of Eric... and Sookie if we must. All the rest get the remaining 10 min. I'm thinking we'll see a return of the Fellowship of the Sun in the Arlene/Terry/Devil baby storyline. Sam's gonna meet Luna's ex. He's a bad-ass Were who is Shreveport's Packmaster. I don't think Sam will help Tommy scheme Mrs. Fortenberry, so they must become accomplices against the Mickens. Jason had Jessica's blood in the last episode and we all know what happens next! How hot will the Jason/Jessica scenes be and how freaked out will Jason get over fantasizing about his best friend's girl? I'm firmly planted in denial

Anyone else kinda creeped out by the Terry/Arlene sex scene? It was like walking in on your parents doing it. I'm firmly planted in denial

So you got to register to be a Werewolf? Register to be a Vampire? So where do you go to register to be a Faerie or a Panther? Shapeshifter? Witch? Lawd have mercy, is it me or is this season turning into a damn soap opera!!!! Urgh!
I have to say the exorcism scene with Tara's mom and her new hubby (the pastor) was hilarious They are clueless as hell...but that storyline of the weird baby is annoying me.
I was happy that Sam and Tommy finally seem to have bonded as brothers...even if it was disposing of their parents. Glad those two looney toons are out of the picture though because they were getting on my nerves too.
Jason's dream was hilarious Is this a dream? Okay then. How in the hell did Hoyt pop up on top of him? And by the way, why is Jessica still acting distant? Does she not love Hoyt anymore? She glamoured him a couple of weeks ago so he doesn't know that she cheated on him anymore, so what's the problem?
I hope Tara has ran her simple ass back to New Orleans...only to have to return to Bon Temps once again cuz her girlfriend going to tear her a new asshole.
Wonder what is up with Jesus' creepy Grandpa?
Pam should be a damn comic cuz I swear she has me dying laughing every week. But damn, who knew she would have loose lips. Damn Pam.
So how is that the vampire at Bill's house that's suppose to be one of the Sheriff's is so ill informed of their history? How in the hell did he get to become a Sheriff without that knowledge??? They don't give out written exams to take before you able to hold that title? Well it seems they should. It's quite embarrassing being a Sheriff ignorant of your own history. Maybe he should be a junior Sheriff or something until he comes up to speed. Just sayin'.
And dang Bill has built a doggone maximum security prison in his basement...state of the art too.
That witch broad is frustrating the fuck out of me....how don't you know how to reverse spells?
Looks like Bill is going to interrupt the preliminary romp fest between Sookie and Eric. [Edited 7/24/11 21:55pm] [Edited 7/24/11 21:59pm] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Every scene that was lifting to be scary was a cop out which worked in this episode, but I still sense alot of forshadowing and not in a good way.
I do love how Ball uses Godric, just enough to tease everyone. I would almost hope that somehow they would bring him back, but then he wouldn't really fit in the show so I like his "appearances" just the way they are.
Pam's rockin.
I would have liked the Hoyt, Jason, Jessica dream scene played more erotic than for giggles. I like the notion of human/vamp/human connection and instead of just flirting it out to the audience would like to see it actually played, it could be very potentially well done.
Dont want the full moon to happen.
Dont want witch/demon baby.
N since the 1600's witch is going to be the Big Bad, make Marnie a willing participant. I dont want to watch a "dont harm me I was possessed by evil" lame ass ending. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Just loved the Gil Scott-Heron tribute at the end. I hope that album is still Grammy-eligible so he can be posthumously acknowledged.
This episode revealed a lot about True Blood's "theology." It was all across the board. From Mr. and Mrs. Rev's bootleg exorcism, to Jason playing Job, to vampires infiltrating the Vatican, to Sam's brother talking about breaking the commandments, to Sam simply saying hell (and presumably all the other stuff) doesn't exist and talking about grappling with his "sins."
But the whole season is unfocused thus far. They've wasted about half the season with the windup. Let's get a pitch and a swing, people. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

They're introducing so much sh*t that I'm ready for half the cast to just die already and we can start anew. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

The Were pack stuff was very true to the books. Each area has a pack. Each pack has a Packmaster. When you move to a new area you are to join the pack. If you do not you become a lone wolf, you don't have the protection of the pack and it is considered a direct insult to the pack. On the vampire side AB junked it up by adding the AVL. In the books, each state had a king or queen, then states were grouped into regions. Each state was also broken down into Areas and each Area has a Sheriff. In the books they are very formal about checking in when you are visiting a state and/or area outside your own. As a visiting vamp you must follow and respect the established authority (not to be confused with The Authority on the show). Shifters are not organized like Vamps and Weres. Fairies are the most secretive group of all. They have their own royalty and laws. As for the one Sheriff at Bill's house not knowing vamp history, that was just a convenient way for AB to work in the back history of Antonia, the witch from the Inquisition. The show has also started a precedence that a young vamp is only as good a vamp as he or she were made by the teaching of their maker. So while it is possible a vamp wouldn't know their history, it is unlikely they would be in the position of Sheriff. I'm firmly planted in denial

nbj the respect a vampire shows in another region is still there. eric was asking russel for his permission 2 search for bill in season 3. and the whole situation in dallas was a means of showing respect tho eric was more pissed off at godrics minions. man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

While they are taking a bit too long leading into her story, I do love the Antonia story line.
Marnie, as I've mentioned before, is so pathetic and just now starting to see Antonia's power. Marnie did not cast the spells on Eric and Pam. She was completely possessed by Antonia and Antonia cast them. I think Marnie is just starting to put the pieces together, but up to this point she has been completely clueless. That is why she is such a good vessel for Antonia. Now that Marnie is getting a clue, it will be interesting where they go. I love the witch story line. Antonia made all Vamps within a 20 mile radius get up from their day sleep and walk into the sunlight. That is bad-ass. With this story line we also learned that throughout history vampires have infiltrated all major organizations of influence and power. No big surprise, but it was cool seeing it in action. It was 20 miles not 200 edit... [Edited 7/26/11 10:25am] I'm firmly planted in denial

Didn't say it wasn't there. AB didn't get it all wrong. I just think he junked it up with the AVL. Also, AB's Sophie Anne was ridiculous. I'm firmly planted in denial

I think Jessica is acting weird because she glamoured Hoyt. She's feeling guilty.
Jason's V dream was hilarious! When Hoyt popped up on top at the end I died laughing! I knew it was going to be crazy but that was INSANE! I loved it. Sorry...just posting randomly. [Edited 7/25/11 11:40am] I'm firmly planted in denial

They're introducing so much sh*t that I'm ready for half the cast to just die already and we can start anew. Well, mom & pop Mickens are dead, so that's a start. And I'm totally down with losing some characters. I'm just hoping one of them isn't Pam even though she's certainly headed in that direction. I will be gutted if she's killed off. Jesus is a potential addition to the body count. Terry is to, but I hope he isn't killed off. He's a really good guy. Holly might bite it (har-dee-har). Marnie most likely will die,as will anyone from the group she pulls in. Hopefully the Hotshot storyline will wrap up. I'm kinda thinking it won't though because it gives Jason screen time.
