Can anyone give me the reason why it is not nominated for an Oscar?

It being the best movie of last year, by the best living director in the bloody world?

Is it an American thing again?

I missed the nominations...
Is Jackass-The Movie nominated?
For best stunts maybe?

Well, Almodovar got already two nominations for Hable con Ella, one for Best Director and one for Best Original Screenplay...

It´s the first time that this happens to an Spanish film and it is quite a success in itself, not that I care for the Oscars anyway

I love Almodovar too but I happen to like his funnier more subversive films of the 80s much better

But the movie is worth seeking out.
As are all of Almodovar's movies.

And here I was thinking that gooey was telling all the spanish org peeps to speak to me (since my nickname is ella) oh well...

And the sound track is also a lot better then most nominated.

Can't say much about the movie, had no time to see it yet, but the soundtrack is realy beautiful !!

My boyfriend has been trying to get me to see this film for a while at the theater downtown... but we can't seem to find the time nor money.
