That's part of it though isn't it. The whole going through the motions thing. The org, and Prince's new music, may be something fresh and amazing for newer members (and some long-time members too, I guess, if they've still the enthusiasm) and that's great. Sometimes though I feel like I'm here because I've spent so many years coming here, come to know so many cool people, and I'm almost obligated, like I can't turn my back on it. I turned my back on Prince's new music far more easily than I can GD, which still sometimes makes me laugh hard. It's not that I don't enjoy the org at all, but what Dan said is spot on. I think I'm probably making almost exact carbon copies of posts I made 5 years ago and it's almost self-parody at this point, just trotting out the same old shit, the same inside jokes and comfy, accepted routines of interaction with various different ppl.
