1980's Fashion

I've been looking for some 80's fashion type clothes.

I really want a jean jacket(what's the name of the ones that looks stonewashed and grey?)

Anyways, did any of you "older people" enjoy the fashio of the 80's, or were you a 90's fashion baby?

Well tylerhppie, I thought young hipsters like yourself would be savy on the net and would know where to go. disbelief EBAY would have it. Plus, your in luck-apparently 80's style clothing is a part of the male wardrobe line this fall from major retailers.

Come on Tina lets get out of this thread! mad

Didn't we do enough damage once already? Learn from our fashion mistakes don't replicate them. sad

This fossilicious specimen also wonders what the fascination with youngins wearing these black dress socks pulled up with shorts is all about. neutral

And really, there wasn't much good about 80s fashion in hindsight. That's one decade that never needed a revival.

mad *was the only grand-daughter and was born in 1985* I swear to God my family dressed me like a friggin' mini doll sometimes. I'm still having nightmares about the infamous polka-dotted dress with the itchy petticoat!!!

But er...yeah, I was literally on the tail end of that point in time. lol All I can remember are my white rhinestoned high-tops and having a pair of jeans like the ones Sheila E wore in that music video for Koo-Koo.

razz Now my father on the other hand, he was hella 80s. Nike jogging suits, Adidas too. He thought he was so cute with his little bird legs. ohgoon He also wore a Members's Only jacket--gray. When that thing got sliced, he ended up using it to wax his car.

razz I sorta remember late 80s fashion because of where my pops worked--a college. There were lots of acid-washed everything. Flat shoes, those ridiculous shirts with the shoulderpads, and harem pants....like...way before MC Hammer. I remember one student had some of those flip glasses like Dwayne from A Different World. He went to class with a young lady my dad was sorta dating at the time.

Feh. lolI'm not helping, lol.

Here, a LOT of young guys. A lot.

Thing is, when I was a teen, my friends would be MORTIFIED if their dads showed up to pick them up in pulled up socks and sandals. lol

There's a few basketball players who have been doing it over the last five years or so. In college and in the NBA. I'd guess that's where it comes from. And there are some kids who do it around here, too.
