I was a big fan of Strangers in Paradise (one day I'll read the ending!), but I was never motivated to pick up this series. I should read more indie titles in general. I grew up on Marvel though and I'll forever be enamored with those characters so they take up most of my reading time.

I will always remember that day in 1979 when I bought Uncanny X-Men #120 at the candy shop and took it home and read it. I had never heard of any of the characters before and they were all so quirky-looking. I reread that issue until the cover fell off. I was instantly hooked.
