today i went to dennys for lunch and i was saddened when they gave me the menu ... a couple of weeks ago they had baconpaloza going on.. with all these entrees with bacon in them... and they had this bacon sundae.. my first thought was omg i dont know about that... but let me tell you holy hell was that an amazing desert.. so anyway i asked if i could get one of those today and they said they dont have them anymore..

so i just have been dreaming about this damn bacon sundae all day and it got me thinking

i truly dont think you can eat anything with bacon on it and it be bad..

bacon is one magical piece of food...

it was vanilla ice cream with bacon crumbled on the top of it and maple syrup over the top of the ice cream with sugar coated almonds .. it was amazing!!

Well, I do like a dessert called "tavuk gögsü", and that is just as weird as what you described above.

It is a very delicious Turkish dessert that contains chicken breast, so bacon with vanillla ice cream sounds comparatively normal.

But let´s get back to bacon.

• Ultimate Bacon
  • 6 slices Thick Cut Bacon- (Apple, Maple or any type will work)
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbs Grade A Maple Syrup
• Maple Sauce
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup, grade A
  • 2 tbs butter, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • pinch salt
• Vanilla Ice Cream
• Hot Fudge –
• Whipped Cream
• Cherry

I think i'm going to try this. when i buy bacon, i cook it all up as soon as i get home. then i drain off all the oil by placing between two paper towels. package it in slices of two in a plastic bag. then put it all in a large zip lock bag. refridgerate it. nuke it when needed for breakfast or lunch sandwiches. (i do the same with sausage. saves my electricity and time. )

so any way insatiable3, maybe this recipe will be fun and u can fix it for your company one day.

I can live without chicken/cow, but hell gimme some bacon or I'll die...

I was at Denny's a few weeks back and ALMOST tried the ice cream sunday topped with bacon.

Now that it's no longer available, I regret skipping on it.

That wasnt a look of disgust... It was a look of jealousy cuz she could smell that bacon

Okay, now I have to go get bacon..lol We have a general store close by where I can get 5 pounds for ten bucks..It is delicious!

I used to LOVE bacon but now since I'm watching my health and weight, I hardly eat it now. I'll eat only sausage during breakfast whenever I'm up on the hours breakfast is on and popping lol

I love pork bacon.... can't do nasty turkey, or even beef because its just not the right texture.

But I love bacon and chocolate chip pancakes... so much I can not cook it much anymore.
