Are folk now paying for their photobuckets?

I just noticed one of my pics in the "rate movie" thread doesn't show and says I need to upgrade bandwith. I got an email about this last week but my ignorant cheap ass thought I could just delete some of the older pics not being used and solve that problem. boxed

I still have my free photo bucket account. There are not that many photo's on there though, so never encountered that problem.

Maybe create an addtional account?

That's news to me. I have not had that problem. Yet.

But it doesn't surprise me if this is indeed true. I have a free account with yousendit to send large electronic files online and the limit was 100 MB per file before having to upgrade to a paid account. Then just recently the limit was reduced to 40 MB per file--less than half!

Have you used sendspace ? i started using it recently. You can upload up to 300mb for free. I recommed 250mb at a time. Anything over 300mb, you can always split up into smaller manageable files. I use winrar.

I love Photobucket, and have had a paid subscription with them for about 5 years or so. I began subscribing mainly because I needed a place to host Flash animations I used to create and post on my MySpace account. I think Photobucket subscriptions are real useful if you post a lot of graphics on a number of different sites. Though now that I'm no longer active on MySpace, I may need to reevaluate my Photobucket subscription (it's up for renewal in September).

Only reason I have it is to post personal pix on the org so I don't honestly pay too much attention to it

I'll close my account if they start to charge shrug

There's always been a bandwidth limit on free accounts.

Haven't had a problem with my Photobucket account. Thanks for the heads up, though.
