In 1988 I saw Prince on the Lovesexy tour in Pittsburgh. My friends and I had floor seats at the Civic Arena, but were so far away from the stage, I had to stand on my chair and my coat to see anything.
I also saw Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam in Westbury, L.I. that summer. Full Force was the opening act and the stage was in the round and slowly rotated the entire night so everyone had a good view.
Those are the only highlights from that year I can think of right now.
Full Force opened for Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam? I would have thought it was the other way around, since Full Force were producing them and UTFO and the rest of the "Full Force Family".
You learn something new every day.
I still listen to Full Force and Lisa Lisa. Have all their records.
In the states, Full Force never got any airplay at all outside of the R&B stations. Lisa Lisa though, has two national number one hits at the time with "Head To Toe" and "Lost In Emotion" so it makes sense that Full Force was the opening act. |

Plus Full Force felt they were better in the background than in the front anyways. |

I spent the summer of '88 with my head in the toilet. We had like a week and a half of triple digits that summer and I was barfing my guts out. Never forget it! "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley
