Well, half the guys in the 80s thought so.

lol

I was more partial to Halston Z-14 myself back then, or Paco Rabanne.

In 1988 I saw Prince on the Lovesexy tour in Pittsburgh. My friends and I had floor seats at the Civic Arena, but were so far away from the stage, I had to stand on my chair and my coat to see anything. confused

I also saw Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam in Westbury, L.I. that summer. Full Force was the opening act and the stage was in the round and slowly rotated the entire night so everyone had a good view.

Those are the only highlights from that year I can think of right now.

Full Force opened for Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam? I would have thought it was the other way around, since Full Force were producing them and UTFO and the rest of the "Full Force Family".

You learn something new every day.

I still listen to Full Force and Lisa Lisa. lol Have all their records.

it would be more impressive Dave if the number was smaller and the LETTER bigger

wave

A very small waisted girl doesn't have a ribcage measurement of 38 confuse

"The number is the underbust measurement – the distance around the ribcage DIRECTLY BELOW the breasts. This number has NO bearing on actual breast size.

"Please do not be tempted to increase the number to imply larger breasts – you are simply making your heroine fatter, which can be especially confusing if you have already described her as slim."

It's not just men. I learned on Oprah that most women used to wear the wrong bra, with numbers too high and letters too low.

So I believe it would be more historically accurate for 1988 to say a woman had 38DD even if she'd have been more comfortable in 32 F geek

it used to be that no cup sized beyond a DD were available off the rack

women's boobs did used to be smaller

now with most women being overweight and breast cup size on the rise (C cup used to be big, but it's average now!) bra manufacturers have tapped into a new market.

I'm a 32H batting eyes god knows how you would have described THAT in the olden days, although in 88 I would have been a neat 30E biggrin
