I got about 10 bites this summer that were worse than I ever remember despite being covered up that night, and I even have scars from them.

My mom has one of those OFF! fans that she clips onto her jeans; ain't been bitten once. You may want to consider one of those.

Honey, stop talking and just create the music.

I wonder if it is sold in Trinidad hmmm. Last time I was there they had OFF for sale, but I never saw this one hmmm.

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

where?... cause I was kinda curious about this... that's why I said something.

I grew up in south georgia and now live in central florida and i thought they were bad here... but they really only give people a hard time right after dusk and then as soon as it gets good and dark and things start to settle down, they are pretty much gone... unless you live by still water. I mean, every once in a while you'll see one buzzing around at a weird time of the day or in a weird place... like for example I had one that got stuck in the car and he bit me... but I wouldn't consider that a major nuisance like getting attacked. You know how you sometimes get attacked by a whole bunch of them at once? I was out at peak times one night and got hit several times all on my face.... that sucks.

I live in Nebraska... Its so humid out this time of year they never seem to have a down time... Mornings are really bad, as are evenings, but they are even out in the afternoons... If i do go out in the afternoon, i try and stay in the sunlight... They attack like crazy in the shade.... And dont even THINK of stepping in the grass!

Here is the weather warning for today....

HEAT INDEX... HEAT INDICES ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 105 TO 112 DEGREES EACH DAY... WITH OVERNIGHT HEAT INDICES AROUND 80.

* IMPACTS... SEVERAL DAYS OF DANGEROUSLY HIGH HEAT AND HUMIDITY... WITH LITTLE RELIEF FROM THE HEAT AT NIGHT... CAN CREATE SIGNIFICANT STRESS ON INDIVIDUALS... AND WILL INCREASE THE RISK OF HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES SUCH AS HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE.

Mosquitos LOVE this shit lol

hmmm... florida is hot and humid as hell. There must be another factor. Do you have dragonflies and bats around there? Do you live close to still water? Maybe they spray all around here and it keeps them down. I think I saw a truck driving around the other day but it's always been like this... I think. Do they spray around there anywhere?

This is just trippin me out. I thought we had them bad.

...but then again I was hearing one person talking about them... I think they were from holland, it maybe it was norway... somewhere over there. They said they were TERRIBLE there and that climate is a little cool for that. I was suprised.

We have dragonflies and bats, but living in the city I dont see to many bats but then I dont go out at nite because of the mosquitos lol So maybe they are there?

We have lakes in this area but nothing too close to me... In my area of town we have these wet land areas that they just allow to grow for wildlife so maybe that has something to do with it but my friend who lives across town has the same problem... shrug

The town sprayed when west nile was rampant but they dont do it until mid august... Do you guys cool off at night or does it stay pretty hot?

well, right now we are having a little patch of cool weather because there has been a lot of rain lately. we've been in 80s that feel like 90s all week and that is pretty cool, but generally summers here are just terrible... so hot you can't breath and most people say the same thing... the sun here feels hotter and brighter than other states. Most nights it stays hot pretty much all night except by the beach... I swear sometims it feels like it's getting hotter inland at night, just suffocating.

I don't know... this is making me curious though. I'm going to have to read more about this. Maybe they start spraying programs around here earlier in the year. Maybe property taxes pay for a spraying program around the St John's and the intercoastal waterways.

I hate when you walk out the door and the heat and humidity grabbed you around the throat and smack you in the face like you hit a brick wall disbelief

I'm tellin yall.
This is the first time in my life I've ever been able to be out in our yard with no off or citronella or that little clip on fan (nothing has ever worked for me). And I'm out there ALL the time.

I found out about these folk from a tech at out vet because the spray also takes care of fleas/ticks.

I still can't believe it.
