Shaniya Davis

the 5 year old from South Carolina who law enforcement alleges was sold into sex slavery by her crack head mother and then raped and killed by the man who bought her.

She was raised by her dad who decided that the mother in spite of having little contact with the little girl, that he should give the crack head a chance to be a "mother" to their daughter. Took her from a $250,000 house and handed her to live in a squalid 2 bedroom mobile home that had 6 people living there. Instead of continuing learning in kindergarten, she was withdrawn from school and within 60 days Shaniya was sold, raped and suffocated to death.

This week, after nearly 2 years the "mother" and the accused rapist have finally been indicted on first degree murder charges.

I pray that 12 wise, responsible and compassionate people are chosen to sit in those jury seats.

Please don't forget about Shaniya

I wonder for how much this "mother" sold her soul for? And I also wonder how much crack she was able to purchase as a result, and how long that amount of crack kept her high? (...probably an hour or two max) How F'd up do you have to be in order to sell your baby daughter to a pedophile/murderer? I won't even bother wondering why this case hasn't garnered the National outrage that the Casey Anthony case has. May both those babies (and all others suffering similar fates) be resting peacefully as can be.

Reading that it's hard to fully acknowledge that yuo're not just reaidng a "story" and that it actually happened in real life.

I hope they get lethal injection, and that it burns like battery acid when they do!

Gosh, I didn't realize people have not heard of this case.

The brother and sister appeared on Oprah when Shaniya was missing. I'm not saying that any child murdered is not heinous... because it is. But the circumstances of this case is particularly heartbreaking.

The little girl being virtually abandonded by the only family she really knew and counted on. Lost her own bedroom and home was forced to sleep on a couch in new "home". Was snatched out of school... once again isolated from people and places that gave her security and happiness.

And then the ultimate betrayal.. placed in the hands of a pedophile. The pictures of her being carried by the pedophile in a hotel security camera... to presumably a hotel room to be violated and murdered will haunt me for the rest of my life.

It was then that I changed my Prince.org avatar to the current one for justice for Shaniya... just to remind people to say prayers and if you live in S. Carolina to call your political representatives to ask their help in ensuring that this awful thing that happened to poor Shaniya will not go unanswered.

I hope that woman gets what Casey DIDN'T get. I still wanna throw up when I read about what happened to Shaniya.

The NYPD made an arrest in the murder and dismemberment of an 8-year old Hasidic boy in Borough Park, Brooklyn. It was some loser from the same neighborhood. This is when you need the death penalty.

You have to watch your kids like a hawk these days.

The media isn't going to focus on missing person cases or murders if the victims aren't young, white and female.

I Hear more and more stories like this everyday. i have little to no faith in humanity...
