It usually means that you believe that everything will be okay in the end, no matter what happens. It simply makes life easier, because you worry less about the things you can't change. The act of trusting and believing in something that wasn't proved to exist can be quite beautiful, because the moment you start believing in it it starts to exist.
The problem is the people who confuse believing with knowing and start telling other people what to do and what to believe in. But that has absolutely nothing to do with the connecting beauty of believing in and trusting something you can't see and touch.

I don't trust anyone completely really. Not because I think that everyone is bad and want to hurt me, but because circumstances often make people do things that hurt you, break promises, ... To me, it's just impossible to trust someone completely without being hurt in the end, and, to me, it's not worth it anymore.
I trust music, though. It evolves and devolves with you, it gives what you put into it, it doesn't lie to you, because it reflects what you feel, it doesn't dissapoint you, it doesn't want things you can't give and still it remains yours for the rest of your life.

Generally speaking, no one. But really I guess it just depends on the context. I can trust my Mom most of the time, but there are some things that I would never get her involved in or talk to her about to begin with.
