Claudine is a rather prevalent character in the books. In the books, she is is a second cousin to Sookie and Jason. She is one of triplets. Her sister Claudette was killed in a Charlaine Harris side story about the Sookieverse. Claude is Claudine's brother. He's a male stripper, into Charles Bronson type guys and utterly self absorbed.

Claudine saves Sookie's life on many occassions and is a lovely character.

Her death...was it real...is she still alive??...was an absolute O.M.F.G. moment this week!

That's interesting. I wonder if Barry the Bellboy's buff, prettyboy fairy god"mother" was an homage to this character.

no way... thats interesting. from the setup in the first episode it seems like we're going to see more of them this season, but if Claudine's dead... damn... Im just confused now, she can't trust any of them now.

I would ASSUME that maybe they'll introduce "Claude" - Claudine's brother - to the show.

In the books he's gay, so perhaps a new connection for Lafayette if his current BF dies this season???

Claude has already been on the show. He was the "rebel" fairy that helped Sookie and Granddaddy Earl jump through the portal.

Now will he show up again....that is the question.

Dead Reckoning, book 11 in the Sookie Stackhouse series. It came out in May 2011. At this time, there are set to be 13 books.
