Take a joint to the face, put the top down, put on some good tunes and drive up the PCH. "There is two kinds of music, the good, and the bad. I play the good kind."

Live music. Concerts, clubs, outdoor festivals... "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

The grieving process is a bit odd and unpredictable though but I am embracing it as best I can

Rita's isn't a bit hit around here. Ralph's Italian Ices pretty much dominates the market.
I also like Uncle Louie G.'s version of the jelly ring flavor ice. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Oh, to answer the original question;
Going to the beach is definitely my favorite summer activity.
We love close to some really great beaches (for Long Island).
I will NEVER get tired of posting that pic!
This will be the first year in my kids' recollection that we do NOT take a real summer vacation. I'm going to try to somehow scrape together some cash and take the three of them somewhere for a couple of days. Would love to hit Virginia Beach, or maybe try Lake George.
