bosses that establish friendships with same level as you employees, and also lets that friendship cloud the professional stance of boss-to-employee protocol.

by allowing that favored employee to:

1. be constantly late for work

2. slack on their work load

3. become the staff's "run and tell" person

4. call in sick more often than allowed

5. not carry their daily work load

6. spend countless work hours in bosses office (closed door)...(sometimes hear loud laughter)

7. continuously ask to leave early from work

8. whine to others about personal problems (will display resentment you if you don't listen.)

this boss should get timeout and put on administrative leave for "showing blatant favoritism."

So I gather that work sucks right now? lol

Actually, I love my current job. This list is from complaints from of friend of whom I am in agreement with.

Excuse me, "thisisit"... But judging from your nickname, I would assume that you idolize one of the most famous dead-beat dads ever?

Surely, being a single parent and abandoning three young children as the result of your own reckless behavior is one of the most inexcusable things possible.

Apologies, again it was an assumption based on your nick alone. Being that as you say, your nick isn't Jackson related, it was a false assumption on my part.

SOME people.*rollseyes*

I just ran off another net friend of going on five years. neutral

Never had a problem with this guy and thought he was nice, smart, thoughtful and interesting to talk to and then all of the sudden he gets weird on me. I guess I don't have a lot of tolerence when people give me a hard time but I'm pretty sure it's justified.

I consider my time pretty important even if all I'm doing is wasting it, it's mine to waste.

I'm sure others feel the same and they have that right in my opinion.

What's the point in keeping people near you that degrade the quality of your time?

It's a little discouraging. I mean I have talked to this guy about all sorts of things for years and in just a short while... in one conversation, we can't stand each other and are telling each other all the reasons why. He won't stop talking to me though and has just made me aware of the fact that over the years he has purused other net locations I have frequented and did not bother to tell me. I hate that. We could have hung out there, but instead he just spied on me....?? That is proof that some guys see females as prey and they are on the hunt. lol

like it's a sport. it's a puzzle to be solved. it's a compitition and you two are NOT on the same side...get it?lol

oh my... another one bites the dust.

Now I gotta remove him from all the friends list and crap so he won't make it his life's mission right now to see if he can be meaner with words. good grief.

yeah, I know... thanks.

it's just so discouraging. All this time I was thinking he had some sense. I was thinking I had a cool friend in him.

...then he tries to turn the psychology bit on me AFTER ruffling my feathers.... I HATE that... like I'm the one with the problem because I don't enjoy talking to someone who has to put everything I like down, acts jealous about the silliest things and tries to chastise me as some kind of weird way of trying to express ownership... and he is even several years younger than me.

obsessed

Simple things...

-like paper milk and cream cartons that don't open easily, and before I know it, I have the contents down the front of my shirt.

-spray cans that drip all over everything, or won't spray at all.

-when I've used up the last of something (toothpaste, soap, mascara) and there's not another one in the cupboard.

-grocery baggers who put the heavy stuff on top, and put the bread and fruits at the bottom.

-the mailman doesn't get here till 6 or 7 o'clock in the evening and I've been waiting for something important.

-when the computer decides to do it's own thing without letting me know, which seems to be most of the time.

mad

Actually, I think these are little annoyances, rather than intolerable things lol

I think I'm fairly tolerant most the time biggrin

It is my life's mission

you will. heart

we're all complex creatures no matter how simple we think we might be. some internet friendships can work, some people meet on the net and they end up married. for others, it all goes horribly wrong.

a man's ego can be a very dominating and humiliating thing. so can a woman's.

a lot of people wont allow themselves to be vulnerable enough to surrender to genuine, unmasked interaction. this happens on the net as well as in real life.

it's all a learning experience, mainly about yourself, but also about learning wisdom, and how very valuable you are, what you deserve and what you don't, what you are and what you're not.

the more experiences you have that don't turn out the way you'd hoped, the closer you get to finding the sane people you're talking about.

you will attract the right people when you become realistic. not to say that ur not, but as a generalisation, i have found that to be abundantly true.

hang in there. life is good no matter who tries to ruin it. wink

"...when you become realistic"...hmmm.

I'm actually not sure if I am or not.... or whether I know how to be if i'm not.

Never really thought about it.

I'm going to have to think about this more.

maybe all along I was just giving him too much credit and ignoring tell tale signs that I don't really jive with him that much. I guess people wear all kinds of masks for different reasons.

Oh well... he was getting extremely annoying.

i spent the better part of 40 years seeing only the best in people, completely blind to the worst and all points in between.

my naivety saved me from being raped on several occasions, cuz i was so damn innocent they suddenly felt bad and moved on.

i've hung out with gun-wielding drug dealers, murderers, thieves and violent gangs, and none of them ever laid a hand on me cuz i only saw the best in them.

i treated them like who they really were deep down inside, not who they'd become, and they loved me for it.

alas, i discovered there are worse people on this earth than murderers with a soft underbelly; some people are far more deceptive, far more cunning and much more malevolent.

they wound you in subtle ways, like rounding up a sheep for the slaughter, they get you corralled and entice you with some nice green grass, all fake with white shiny teeth, then they have their way with you in worse ways than rape.

sorry if thats getting a bit heavy and extreme, but my point is, regarding being realistic, you gotta pay attention to those signs you mentioned, never ignore them, they are there for a reason.

cuz the ones that can hurt you the worst are often the ones you suspect the least.

wisdom, especially on the internet. imo. heart
