I'm getting kine of worried now. I notice my eyes are changing. I wear bifocals pretty much all the time. I can't see shit without my glasses. Recently I've noticed that I'm having trouble reading print whether it be a book, text on the computer or closed captioning on the TV. It seems like my right eye is fucked up because I have to really strain to read sentences because words seem to disappear toward the end of the sentence. It's like they just walk off the page! Also my peripheral vision is fucked in that eye. Sometimes I seem to see a shadow or cloud peripherally. Then I see bright splashes of color, like big paint splashes of red or yellow. Anybody here ever have these types of symptoms? Or is it just my old ass getting older? I'm thinking it might be cataracts. My mother had them and now she's blind in her right eye. I know someone is going to say, "Go see your ophthalmologist." I have an appointment to see him on the 15th of this month, the day before my birthday. I'm just afraid he's gonna tell me, "Yeah, your ass is old now. It's cataract time!" in MC Hammer's voice. :

I am dealing with the same problem. I wear contacts most days and glasses when I cannot tolate my contacts. I suffer from severe dry eyes and allergies. For a while now I have noticed that the print on computer and tv is really blurry and I am straining to focus. I have astigmatism in my right eye and when I went to the optician last week I told him my right eye seems to be bothering me and causing the blurred vision. He gave me a special corrective contact for my right eye. It is really thick and is driving me mad when I try to have it in my eye. I am hoping after a few more days of wearing it that it will be les annoying. I don't think the blurred vision is any better though.

I hope you get your eyes checked and figure out what is wrong.

My wife lost peripheral vision, with a shadow, and it turned out to be a partially detached retina.

Go to your opthalmologist ASAP!!!

I'm not saying it's retinal detachment...but if it is...get it treated NOW!!!
