Sushi thread What is your favorite? I just recently started eating this stuff and I like it. Have not ventured to far past the ones with crab in them. Had some with loibster and didn't care for those. If you're not doing the fucking, then you're taking one. | |

see... not a huge fan of the fresh eel... I don't like the egg stuff either...
but Tako (octopus my fave), sea urchin (Uni), mackeral, tuna, fish roe (Karasumi)...... I LOVE THOSE!!! | |

I hate too much shell... I don't care for lobsters because they are to much work to get at. The shrimps are OK but not a fave... the octopus is sliced on sushi... its my favorite way to eat my favortite meat.
I sorta feel guilty about eating octopus (and sharks) now.... the more I learn about certain animals, the harder it is to eat them. They are smart little guys... but so yummy! | |

I have serious textural issues with octopus.
I loooooove mackerel sashimi, though. Especially when they filet the fish, serve you the flesh, then take the skeleton away, dip it in tempura batter and deep fry it. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

Really? Even if its steamed and sliced? I myself had a hard time trying to get used to the Uni with the little raw quail egg over it.
