I thought this was the best of the trilogy too. I'm embarassed for not recognizing Leonard Nimoy's voice since I'm a die hard Trekkie, boxed

It's always more fun for me when I see these flicks with my sons or some other geeks of the sci-fi/fantasy/superhero genres. We always sit around afterward and yap long after the movie is over.

Jeong was the funniest...that scene in the men's room had me on the floor! lol

I agree it's time for Bay to move on but Spielberg may have some fresh ideas in mind...I hope so.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS (though I think if you're in this thread, you should know this by now):

Lol! I think Jeong's funniest scene was when he was in the office being confronted by Laserbeak, and he tried to turn "gangsta". That was some funny shit!

Nimoy's Sentinel Prime reminded me of Galvatron from the 1986 movie, so that's what tipped me off that it was him. It's too bad Chris Latta died a few years ago because I would have LOVED to heard him voice Starscream for all three of these movies. One of the best animated voice adaptations (also includes Cobra Commander, which is the same exact voice) of all time!! cool

I keep reading where people (and of course PROFESSIONAL critics) were disappointed with the film. Not me. I guess, like you, I went in with almost no expectations and was looking to just have fun with it. I wasn't personally going over it in my mind with a fine-tooth comb to see if it was exactly like a story from the comics or whatever. And even if I had, I probably still would've enjoyed it.

I'm surprised at some of the deaths, too. I know they've "killed" Megs before too, so it's not impossible for him to be resurrected, but he was thoroughly trounced this time, so we'll see. At least they really lay waste to some humans in this one. Completely unapologetically too! Do you really think they're going to continue the franchise without Bay? Or even do the popular thing in Hollywood these day and reboot it??

i was pissed that in the first one jazz was killed and now ironside PISSED!!

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

LOL! My son reminded me that Nimoy did Galvatron...I agree about Starscream though.

They just blew the humans to dust and bones...poof! The destroyed cityscape was very realistic too.

I doubt this will end with Bay gone...the Batman films with the last director were better than the first ones IMO. And look how many directors Star Trek has been through.

Besides, there's still a lot of ground to cover on Cybertron. Optimus was supposed to be the last of the Primes before this movie but since they introduced Sentinel we might get the whole story of the Prime dynasty, cool

wasn't that kind of touched upon in part two with the whole matrix?

They actually re-used the car element in that second comparison? Just sampled the previous movie by Bay?

It's much cheaper from a production cost standpoint.

Of course! I would not notice myself since I don't watch these films repeatedly. I totally understand recycling old stuff to make new stuff. I just didn't expect it when the budget is this astronomical! And all eyes in the effects industry are on this... and it gets nominated (and wins?) Academy Awards.

But I guess it doesn't matter if you don't know it's there!

i was pissed that in the first one jazz was killed and now ironside PISSED!!

I know, right?! And they way they killed Ironhide was just no cool. Execution style?? They could've had him die in battle and shit? Wait, it was execution style, right? Or am I thinking about the Einstein character? I'll have to download it and watch it again. Either that or make another trip to the theatre for it. Either way, the rust away thing was not pretty. Come back, Ironhide, come back!!! sad

At least they didn't off Bumblebee. I would've been HIGHLY upset if they went through with killing him. I'm so glad they upgraded him from the original cartoon. He was weak as hell there with no weapons or nothing, as a VW bug.

Yeah, it was only touched upon...they could do a lot more with the matrix storyline. nod

Hell, it was more emotional than Sam's love scenes with that no-acting chick with the poofy lips, lol

I was sitting there just waitin' for the dude to pull the trigger on BB, and I was gonna run out the theatre crying like a little bitch! wink

I was reading where they put Simmons in that wheelchair as a tribute to Chip from the original series. I thought that was cool. I didn't even pick up on it to be honest. Of course, Chip never really did anything for me, so I guess that's why.

I was kinda thinking that the Dinobots would've been in at least ONE of these movies. Maybe they can be in the next one, IF there's going to be a next one.

Good point. Sam wanted nothing to do with BB in the second one cuz he was "all growed up". But this time around, he wants to be all, "I miss you. You don't come to see me anymore. Boo-hoo." He needs to just get up in Carly's guts a few times a day and not even worry about BB. razz

I wonder if Shia, in real life, shagged this new chick too. He just admitted last week that he and Megan Fox fucked around while they were filming either part 1 or 2 or both (I don't remember). Lucky bastard. cool

the movie was a total flop imho. It lacked good acting. Stupid characters with absolutley no importance. A stupid woman who supposedly talks Megatron into attacking Sentinel without getting killed herself?? The only plus was Optimus in battle mode... Michael Bay killed the Transformers for me! I hope a new director picks it up and does it justice. And the end speech it wasn´t Prime talking it was the US... Bay is the worst director to ever tackle thi series. The woman was only in there for eyecandy. A scottish Transformer who´s drunk all the time?? wow stereotypes anybody.

It was incredibly stupid. But a lot of fun, even though you know exactly how it's going to end.

I love the ass-shot seen of the female love interest at the beginning of the film. Miacheal Bay knows EXACTLY who the main folks in his audience will be lol, and payed homage to that straight away falloff .

And I actually LOVED John Macholvich in the movie falloff

I'm sorry but the scene where he has an OCD moment with the red cup on his "yellow" floor had my dying! lol

This thing was a complete cheesefest but a fun one this time around. It had far too many crashes and explosions, etc. but unlike the second one, this one was entertaining.
