Death penalty is too expensive.
My point exactly. We need the death penalty but NOT the way it's currently administered. The way the death penalty is set up today is a joke! The most common cause of death for people on death row today is old age. They need to be swiftly put to death. For instance, the monster who committed this crime should have been killed the same night he confessed to the crime. The judge asks the family if anybody wants to participate, then the family can have at him for 2-3 minutes of executing him. The judge would then approve the family's method of execution. The cost to the state would be almost nothing! Do you remember lying in bed

Sounds good to me. I never understood the argument that housing, feeding, paying for medical expenses, education and legal representation for these mofos all throughout their long ass lives is more cost effective to the state than knocking their asses off within 6 months to a year. Hell, when you have a confession and evidence to support the crime was committed then kill these bastards and call it a day. All this money we spend keeping them alive, that money could be used for far better things. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

You touch on something that I think is a bigger issue than most people are willing to acknowledge. Crime = profit on so many levels. If all crime stopped tomorrow, a lot of people would be out of a job and source of income. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Those are generally singular acts attributed to individual behavior.

No, they are treating it as news.
How are they treating it as entertainment? They are informing. If you are entertained in the process and watch more, I'm sure they're happy.
Should they not report that a rapist is in the neighborhood? Should they ignore local problems and issues?
If you see what is called news as entertainment, how do you stay informed? I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

I doubt he is a "pervert" - rape isn't a sex crime. And this very clearly was not about sex, but giving the child an uncurable disease he may die from. Perversion =/= rape.
Oh please! We are talking a 6 month old baby. Anybody who rapes a 6 month old infant IS A PERVERT! That is not up for debate IMO. There are many forms of perversion and raping an infant no matter the reason is a perverted and evil act. I hope his dick falls off and his blood boils and his brain swells to the point that his skull cracks and he drains from his nose, mouth and ears...and then....all of his supporters/followers/friends/sympathizers can suffer the same fate.
I can't really believe you just maded a veiled threat/attack at me, suggesting I am a sympathizer or supporter of this guy, and that my brain should swell until my skull cracks. There are two kinds of news. News you can act on, do something about, etc. The rest is topical entertainment disguised as news. Next time you watch, count how many stories you can actually act on, if

What about the baby????
Forget the sick bastard who raped him.... what about the baby?
How bad were the injuries to the baby's colon, does it say? Does the baby still have a functioning colon?
One small positive note, if this little baby heals OK and can still maintains normal use of his organs (despite his HIV status), then hopefully this baby will be too young to remember anything done to him sexually.
I couldn't click on the article to read.... I am too disturbed.

No...not stats...just the common knowledge that you're less likely to be mugged in Tehran or Singapore than London or NYC.
When you're threatened with beheading or public caning you think twice about mugging that woman on the street.
