I thought I was lazy, but I just don't have any energy thanks to superlow iron levels

I'm working on fixing it, so in a couple more months I might see an improvement!

I am not "lazy" per se...but I am a procrastinator to a fault.

Also, I need to be inspired to do something.

So, for example, the overlooked weeds growing in the front garden? It's not that I'm being lazy about it...it's that I have no desire to spend time fighting weeds for a house that's no longer my home. This past weekend she-who-shall-not-be-named started giving me shit about not helping out cleaning the bathroom. Not that I'm being lazy about it...but since I'm supposedly no longer the person she wants as a husband, then don't expect the benefits of having me around. I just ignored her and went to the gym.

I don't know if most people would call me lazy, but I think I am --more than I'd like to be, anyway.

Yes. I am totally lazy. Always have been.

I think it’s hereditary. Or if it’s learned, I got it from my dad. lol

Now, I still DO make any necessary effort. But I arrange my life in a way that I get plenty of “down” time. I need 8 hours of sleep, I need plenty of alone time. I need time to be still and just be. I don’t take on work or projects that are too much effort or aren’t meaningful and important to me.

I have never been and will never be one of those people who work 60 hours a week and have a million projects going on at home and all of that. No thanks.

Thank god! I hate a bitchy man!!

biggrin

I like to take care of business first, so I can be lazy!

It is so nice to just sit around and watch the day go by, with absolutely nothing to do!

so what do you guys do about it? Have you investigated why your bodies may not be holding on to your iron? Do any of you suffer from inflammatory bowel conditions?

I think I would like to be, but the way my brain works won't let me. I have to be doing something, usually two or three somethings, or I get restless. About the only things I can do singularly have to do with the beach or the ocean (water). Then I feel really relaxed. But really, one of my favorite things to do is read a book at the beach while listening to music. lol

I always feel guilty when I try to be lazy. I guess I was just brought up that way. I was the other day though. It was absolutely gorgeous outside and I had finished my homework, cleaning, etc. I laid in the hammock all afternoon and read a book. It was glorious!! cool

I wish I lived near a beach! I'm such a water person. I feel more energized when I'm in the water or listening to wave crash.

I'm always reading when I have down time! I just got a Kindle...kinda cool, but I miss holding a book.

I ( we ) eat as many naturally high iron foods as possible and I take 2 different whole food sorce Iron suppliments ( script "iron pills" do nothing for me ) ~ I do most all my cooking / baking in cast iron

I have had every test possible ( from teenage years on ) they insist I must be dying ( all cancer screens are clear ) ~ they just really do NOT know and I am not into their fear based medical "musts" anyway ... I'm healthy and happy and NOT dead yet !

and No we do not suffer from that at all

my Dad is 82 and super healthy ... we just have very low iron counts

I live 15 mins from the beach...but this being New York, it's not like everyday is a beach day.

Lucky you are that close to the beach! We have a lake nearby with small beaches but it's seriously toxic! You can't even boat on it anymore. sad
