No i don't, the squirrels out here are fat as hell and look like they could stand a few less chestnuts or whatever, and the geese shit a-plenty so I think they don't need me to feed them. lol

them thangs are a pain in the ass.... it's a rodent. ran over one last week, he kinda misjudge his speed crossing the street, can't say I was upset about it.

But no I don't feed outdoor animals, they are on their own. lol

!!!! I set up a bird feeder in my mom's yard, which fed small birds and squirrels and mice, which attracted a red-tailed hawk.... that was lovely, we love the hawk. The neighbor doesn't... she fed cats, lots of them they just started having babies. Now they just ruined my mothers garden! Cat piss everywhere!!!

and ya know.... cats and skunks travel together in packs, they get along great with eachother.

feed cats, eventually you will attract skunks ... shake

In my neighborhood, you are a fool to feed any wild animal.. we have gansta birds! Wild turkeys, and mean seagulls that eat the pigeons and huge rats... really huge rats. hmph!

I actually love squirrels though. They're cute as fuck to me. boxed lol . Just because I said those portly motherfuckers need some Richard Simmons doesn't mean I hate them.

Wish I had a picture of my daughter handing some bread to a squirrel in DC. He just calmly walked up and grabbed it out of her hands with his. I was a little nervous. But I didn't want to put my irrational fear of animals in her either.

I agree that wild animals should not get used to being fed, but in this case it was the National Mall in DC. All the animals there are used to and unafraid of interaction with humans. Comes with the territory.

One of my neighbors is feeding the stray cats in the neighborhood. Because of that, they can't be trapped by animal welfare because they are not hungry enough. What she doesn't understand is that they are loaded with fleas, ear mites, intestinal worms, ringworm, and have nasty upper respiratory viruses. Plus they are breeding like wildfire!!

I took in one poor kitty that was almost blind because of his infection and nursed him back to health, but I can't even get close to the others, they are so feral.

Meanwhile my poor indoor pets also got infested from fleas because the strays are always in my backyard where my dog does his business. So they had to get baths and such.

Think of the fact that many of these critters are carrying nasty diseasses, some of which CAN be passed to humans before you decided to feed them and entice them to hover around your and your neighbors' homes....

There was this HUGE stray cat that was abandoned where my sister lives. This cat was so big she initially scared my sis! She had big paws and a big body. I had never seen a cat that size. But for whatever reason she didn't scare me. I fell in love and the feeding began biggrin

We named her Mufasa (from the Lion King). She was around maybe 12 to 18 mos and then eventually killed. We believe by a neighbor, but that's another story. This particular sister of mine does not cry for anything...however when Mufasa passed she called me and could barely get the words "Mufasa was killed" out of her mouth because she was hysterical sad

She vowed to never start feeding strays again.....as to not get attached.

nod You will see a skunk or two with cats feeding together here. Its a bad stink they leave behind, marking territory. barf I think the skunks really take advantage of people leaving food out for cats, the skunks come in with zero resistance from the cats. I wouldn't mess with a skunk either.

Thank goodness for the owl that lives nearby pray That sucker is a great hunter!
